late to the party, but using the infestus mechadendrite that deals 1 physical damage and shoves the enemy away 1 tile is clutch on your ranged-specialized techpriest. it can get them put of melee combat

In the early game, spicier weapon+1 pistol+1 melee weapon deals enough damage, but eventually you'll want to specialize each tech-priest into a different damage type, and include the item that boosts that damage type for big turns! Double-flamers or double arc-rifle shots is only improved when you've juiced the damage type with enhancers!

Absolutely! Thanks for sharing. I do recommend specializing at least some of your tech-priests in specific damage types and taking full advantage of all the bonuses. I did purposefully leave some of my priests unspecialized though which gave them many options for most every situation. The game honestly became quite easy using the methods I employed. Even the very last boss fight wasn't particularly challenging. It really is fun though, to have a player move half-way across the map to melee and kill like nobody's business! Thanks for watching!!

Heres a cheeky cheat: when exploring the maze always keep saving at this point. Try a glyph or scene option - if its a crap one, reload the save until you get a good one so you can take maximum cog points into battle - then when you go to move on, save again before the next room. It can be tedious but in the long run if your priests are not damaged and cogged up it will make for maximum advantage overall.

Thanks!! It's been a while since I've played, but if you mean expanding how many units you can take into battle you need to unlock slots by completing missions with that as the reward.

@@TalonGaming_YT I talking about where you’re in the middle of a battle and are able to bring in reinforcements after your initial rollout. Sometimes I only have a single point available which equates to one basic servitor, others I might have more so maybe a vanguard & servitor.

@@firstbikeisascout9103 It sounds like you're just short on CP. You can usually steal CP from corpses, enemies and such during combat. You may not have an abundance of them until mid to late game though. I was always pretty low in CP at first. Stealing CP is one of the things I try to do focus on as it tends to open doors for you.

I'd have to watch again to be sure, but the Sub-Dominas are the characters that give you your missions. I believe (from memory) they give you hints and direction on how to proceed.

This seems to be a common thread that I've seen around the forums and such. I've heard that the Heretik update (a while back) helped, but didn't solve it completely. I've also seen where running in different resolutions may have helped. Sorry if I don't have any better answer for you, it sounds like this has been a long-requested quality of life improvement.

It's new missions, weapons, troops, enemies and other challenges. Probably no harm in doing them from the start, but it might be fun to play through the game first. The great thing about turn based games is you can take you're sweet time! Save often. Thanks for checking out the video!

Help! I didn't drop any refractor field generators! :( I'm already through the game and I didnt drop them anywhere.

I think it's pretty rare that you don't unlock them. Although, I was more than half-way through the game by the time I unlocked them if I recall. I remember doing missions that gave items as bonuses and ended up with the refractor shield. It's been a while since I played however and don't have it installed or I'd fire it up to be a little more specific. I think a second run-through might be in order for the both of us!

@@TalonGaming_YT It's not my first rodeo. I remember dropping the shields back then relatively early on but this playthrough I'm basically done, only the Endboss Missions remain and the last Scaevola and Videx missions cause I didnt decide yet which ending I want

@@TalonGaming_YT Yeah I burst Szaregon in one round with one tech priest to spare. And I even forgot to itemise against him specifically. So I had two priests with these large AOE weapons that I couildnt use or I would hit my own troops. Two support priests, two energy dmg dealers, one physical dmg dealer was my setup. Didnt even use the sixth priest, I left him on the Metallican because I was too lazy to skill him

It basically forces you to save your game no matter the outcome. You can't even quit without saving. It definitely forces you to think through your moves first.

Oh noes! It's been a while, but I remember that they weren't very good at the start of the game. Do you have any servitors at the start to sacrifice?

@@TalonGaming_YT yeh, i tried feeding agrlolekh my servitors, but i didnt know he has splash damage so he wiped out two of them in one swipe. My friend told me the first time i tried I was stupid and the second time I was unlucky, since he got 2 crits in a row on my priests.

@@blizzi8428 split the tech priests 1 on each side, send the servitors up the middle but staggered enough to avoid the aoe. also, you don't have to summon all the servitors immediately, just have at least 1 on each side blocking the path from the middle to the side where your priests are.
