They are armor-piercing explosive rounds, inspired by Gyrojet (while still using an explosive charge instead of just rocket propellant) and Raufoss ammunition, thats their second most iconic trait, being explosive.

@jamesdarby6149 Not a "micro missile launcher", it's basically a rocket-propelled 20mm autocannon (because that's what the .75 caliber is), some would argue its a "grenade launcher" but grenades are usually 30-40mm and designed to explode on contact, not after penetration. Heavy bolters just reinforce the fact they are autocannons, not "rocket/missile launchers".

Okay: 1. A boltgun is not a mundane machine gun. It's a combination of an Assault rifle and a rocket launcher that would break the arms of a normal human upon usage. 2. "Space Marines are almost invincible"....you sure about that? "Laughs in Horus Heresy".

I allways hated people parroting the fact "Astartes bolter would break unaugmented humans arms", thats some Matt Ward era "Astartes are coolest guys ever and ultramarines are best!!!" bs. Only limit to to bolters and humans is the weight, normal humans without power armour couldnt regularly lug around Bolt Rifle because its so large and heavy, but then theres Catachan Jungle Fighter sergeant that lugs around Heavy Bolter as his weapon of choice, sure all Catachan Jungle fighters are built like Arnie but they still are unaugmented humans and they use bolters and heavy bolters without augmentations

@@KoteDarasuum there is also the fact that a bolt pistol or bolters for normal human personel and Astartes are not the same size. Catachans are an exception, I will happily concede that. But the average human or even guardsmen (so Cadians and the like) don't lug around Bolters.

It would actually be less painful and easier to handle the space marine sized one. The added weight for it being larger would make recoil less impactful on the one using it.

Additional things to know: 16) 1:16 'Lore-accurate' coop would actually be six player, since the smaller fireteams are five man and a Lieutenant is then attached to that squad. Although a lore-accurate squad also wouldn't really mix up equipment as much as these guys do. Even a killteam is typically five strong. 17) 3:45 It's pronounced tier-ruh-nid not tye-ruh-nid.

10-12 hours is not a ‘meaty’ campaign brother. That’s like bare minimum. As someone who’s frothing at the mouth to play this game, let’s not go overboard with the praise where it’s perhaps less deserved. The campaign in this will be good, but it won’t be some epic long adventure. It will be an enjoyable romp over a few days.

This is a linear action game, not a full open world rpg. 10-12 hours is more than enough. Quality over quantity. If it's anything like the first game, the campaign is just bonus content, while the multiplayer is the real deal.

10-12 hours for a campaign is only short if you're say playing an RTS game or an RPG. For a linear action shooter like this one, that kind of length is actually quite long already. "Bare Minimum" is something like the 3 hour campaigns that some CoD games have.

Some of the greatest games are that length or shorter. The halo trilogy, half life, portal etc. I don't think those games would work if they where 50-100 hour games. Damn imagine portal but it's 100 hours long, how frustrating and maddening would the puzzles get at that point, portals and every concept in it would be stretched out to mundanity.

A 12 hour campaign is honestly fine to me. Not every game's singleplayer needs to rival the witcher 3. If they properly deliver with the gameplay, progression, and replayability, along with whatever future content, then this game can potentially live for a long time.

Almost every popular shooter game that’s included a campaign is around the 12 hour mark and not to mention the first space marine game took less time to complete than this. The main problem with having a long shooter game is it can get very stale towards the end and you feel rushed to finish it.

But here, we aren't talking about a big name that will 100% keep an active pvp. If the pvp is shit then you have a 12h game, probably even less if you are used to shooters, and then you won't open the game ever again. Hope i am wrong indeed, but if the multiplayer flop, it will be extremely pricey for what we get. Imagine paying 70 buck for a call of duty or battlefield without any multiplayer, would you do it?

Hyped for this game. I havent played any Warhammer games. Growing up my brother was playing Dawn of War and other RTS games while i was moving towards Xbox, Halo, and Xbox LIVE in general. I can't wait to play this co-op with him.

This would be my top 1 game so far. Bloodborne will be moved to my top 2. As I can see it looks very badass, enjoyable but still challenging but not very stressful. I always look for game that something like this, skill Issue I admitted that I'm not really good playing hard games, I finished all Darksouls but they gave me lots of stress, after DS3 I tried to play Mortal Shell and yep it's almost the same. I love souls games, but It feels repeatitive, so I never try to play Sekiro, Elden Ring and even Black Myth Wukong that is very trending now. This game is at the top of my wishlist, I still haven't bought it, but I plan to, I just don't have time right now to play, but I'm very excited for this.

They are way too nerf happy. Instead of fixing the weak weapons and making them attractive to use they nerf the only decent weapons left while also buffing the enemies. Best way I can describe it as an inconsistent player is the game was amazing at launch. Now every time I come back my character and weapons feel even weaker than before and the enemies got stronger. It’s. Just. Not. Fun.

I'm very excited for this game, but I have to disagree about the campaign length. To me, 12 to 12 hours is a short campaign. I did a quick lookup for Mass Effect 2, which I thought have a pretty good campaign, and if you only don't do any of the side missions the campaign is still rated at about 24 hours. I'm going to play the campaign, but I'm really looking forward to the coop mode as well.

I'm looking forward to this game very, very much. My only gripe is I wanted pvp to be on theme as well with the setting I wanted to play as a xeno much like Gears of wars 'beast mode' I feel like games don't let players play as aliens anymore in pvp modes

Okay I think there might be some confusion on the microtransactions, and you even contradict yourself in the same sentence or at least worded it poorly. There is no cash shop. So that means no in game currency. Which is a great thing. Then all the paid content will be cosmetic, but they will probably be in the store of whatever platform you’re on. Also they will probably come in “DLC” packs, where whole packages of cosmetics are released for probably $10-15 each and will Come with whole armor sets and weapon skins. So no definitional “microtransactions” but there will be packs to buy if you so choose that will be cosmetic only. Still an overall great thing and all gameplay changing updates will be free!!

My thing is, theres no on going process to this. If they would stop playing and make a MMO sized warframe style game with this engine and everything this is, but instead of frames we rank up and collect relics and armors. They can even add all the races and allowed us to have our own choice of the universe. Even add a helldiver flavor to it and battle for sectors of the universe. That game would be epic. Today PVP sandbox gets boring due to try hards and hackers or even exploiters. And the PVE will only have 11 missions which im sure people will get bored with this quick unless they have some kind of ongoing end game.

Agreed. Comments on Helldivers 2 vids brought me here but I’m not interested in pvp at all so this game is not going to be an adequate replacement for it. You’re right, a Warframe style game with this setting would be absolutely amazing.
