The fact that you can do so much with the 40k lore, it's so endlessly customizable and the fact that 9 times out of ten it'll actually quite possibly *work* is a massive part of why I love 40k, it's easily one of my most fav franchises ever, new sub!

Just a note, 40k lore isnt cohesive from its first entry in 1987 up till now. 1 prime example being the 13nth Black Crusade (a major event in 40k), the 1st time Cadia didnt fall, Abbaddon failed and some major characters died. In the newer version, Cadia fell, Abbaddon succeeded, other characters died a death God was born and a Primarch returned

1. I think it’s beneficial to mention that 40K started as a spin off of Warhammer Fantasy. 2. The game is called “Warhammer” in reference to the most famous weapon in all Warhammer Lore, Ghal Maraz. I used to paint the minis 30 years ago as a kid. I never actually played it. I just loved the character designs.
