I’ve been thinking of making a Primaris Scythes reboot where Sergeant Chronus has been put in charge as chapter master and is tasked with refounding their fortress on Sotha as it has been terraformed. The chapter is tasked with destroying the tyrannids to avenge their fallen brothers and all those who fell on Sotha. Kind of like a “the brothers of the scythes will raise anew on Sotha like the wheat in the fields, once grown they will become the reapers of the blood of the tyrannids” kind of vibe. Seems fitting since Chronus is the namesake of their battle barge, their new doctrine will be heavily vehicle and primaris based with a focus on clearing out hordes of Tyrannids.

It's kind of ironic (and tragic at the same time),that the Pharos, which was used as a beacon to guide Loyalist groups to Ultramar, also upon it's activation, drew the Tyranids to our galaxy. And unfortunately for the Scythes of the Emperor, they just happened to call that place home, when the Nids finally showed up.

It was probably a doomed if you do, doomed if you don't situation. Also, even if they could've known about the tyranids, I think guilliman would've still used it. A great threat thousands of years from now is less pressing than a great threat right now.

Worse than you think; I recommend that you read the Novel Scythes of the Emperor; it goes over their founding, and the near destruction when the Tyranids invaded. Kinda sad, but a good read.

Here a though if the pharos allowed guilliman to travel the webway with such ease he created the ultrmar system, wouldn't it have saved the Emperor a lot of time on the webway project if papa smurf had just done what he was told and turned the xeno tech over to Big E? Instead it seems he decided to pull a Fulgrim and use it for himself. Feels like he just lucked out and never had to suffer any of the consequences.

Maybe the Emperor didn't know about it. Also, I might be mistaken, but I don't think Guilliman know about it either until they actually used it, or if he did, he didn't know what it could do.

At least they don’t have the luck of the Lamenters. Because at the very least they didn’t side with traitors and schemers, so you could say that they hadn’t have that bad of luck. Also love the colors scheme black and yellow really is easy to paint.

Their whole chapter is dead. It's just primaris kiddies in their colors now. Not even the Lamenters have that shit luck

@@anotherbig976 Guess you can add the Wolves and Blood Angels to that list; after the events in Warzone Fenris, and the Devastation of Baal, both Chapters are mostly Primaris now ( Same with most of the Blood Angels Successor Chapters too).

Greg Domenico lets hope the new books have at the least a “well 50/50 old Blood, new blood will be the future.” Additionally, the Blood Angels had at least 200-300 battle brothers left out of their 6 companies present so the other 3 companies (300 marines) probably had 50-100 Primaris in Blood Angels Red. Primaris lore is still a damned mistake from GW in my mind.

The Scythes of the Emperor were formed early in the Imperium's history. Wasn't this chapter worried they would, by choice of a scythe as symbol, be associated with Mortarion and possibly mistaken for Death Guard?

Well, their colors are all wrong for Death Guard. Also, they would hardly be the only ones using symbols similar or outright identical to traitor legion iconography. Check out Sons of Medusa and rejoice :D

question: is it possible to switch the geneseed of a space marine, using a diferent primarch as a model or this would kill the space marine? ( sorry for the bad english)

Technically. Yes. First 8 Grand Masters of the Grey Knights(ex Legionaries from the ranks of 8 different Astartes Legions) had transplanted the new type of Geen-Seed(the Emperors Gift, progenoids of the Grey Knights ) During the time when Grey Knights where created on Titan hidden in the Immaterium. Their original Seed was deposit in the geen-banks on Titan. Garreon The Corpse Master from the Red Corsairs is infamous because of creating Astartes with chimeric progenodis, implants etc.

Honsou is a mixed Geneseed Of Iron Warriors and Imperial Fist. He is Iron Warriors geneseed but imperial Fist Genes has been added to make a better Warrior. So all the Iron Warriors call him a “Half Breed”
