This gives me an idea, what if we just had a huge mortar round, fired by blanks, and I just ran around with a bandolier of mortars, and some blank magazines and loose blanks... doesn't even need a barrel, just a tube that the gas goes thru, and some fins And the launcher would just be like a simple, albeit robust, assault rifle sized blank firer, with just a stub of the end you stick the mortar round on Or, Even better, the stub could be on the end of a regular barrel, and you'd just set it up to fire a bullet into the mortar, which would launch it. That way you could lauch mortars, and also have a regular assault rifle.

I just thought of something, are there any pictures of Orks with shotguns? You’d think that would be their favorite weapon, causing a massive amount of light, sound, and the fact that it’s not required to actually aim it at anything, just how they use every other weapon. If it’s a problem with fire rate, I’m sure any proper Mekboy can somehow make a rapid fire version of his own.

The wartrike and I think the rukatrukk squigbuggy both have shotguns. One the wartrike it's called a "boomstick" but the other buggy just straight up calls it a sawed off shotgun. Also the upcoming ork game Shootas Blood and Teef has a shotgun as one the weapon options

Well, to a lesser degree, they are still functional guns. At least some of them are. The degrees of ramshackle-ness can vary wildly so its inevitable that even by accident, orks will sometimes create guns that work for anyone and not just because their gestalt psychic effect allows it to.

Tim S believe it or not as you will but that's actually how it could work. If a sufficient number of orks believe that red bullets travel with higher velocity than others then it will happen. Just as orks can fire away without reloading as long they think they don't have to.

groth blasta? usualy when we see grechin mobs they are at least armed with choopaz and sluggers even new class small shootaz (low capacity full auto sluggers) they even show it in the pictures.. although less stronger than Boyz Grechin are usualy more cunning and dangerous than orkz in general. 6th sense for survival and smater than any of the boyz. they sense weekness everywhere they go and are prone to exploite them and will easily take any opportunities they have. so i dont see Grechin prefering muskets over small shootaz and sluggers really
