Grenade is probably one of my favorites. My guardsmen pulling out 3-4 mortal wounds on a vehicle before they even shoot is quite surprising.

Oh ya we tried to include Grenades and tank shock but for some reason the audio got scrambled. Maybe next time. I've had scouts do the same. then charge, only to fall back next turn and throw another grenade.

Epic Challenge is one that confuses me as to why more people don't use it more often. People often look at me cross-eyed when I say I'm using it. I frequently will use it to make dealing with an enemy unit more manageable by removing the character. Dealing with a purifier squad after removing Castellan Crowe is a significant bump in manageability. 24 anti-infantry 2+ shots with or 10 without.

Yep, any character that boosts the units durability, be it an invuln, a FNP, or even a minus to wound, it turns a tough nut into something far more pliable. Like, I'd hate to lose my KFF Mek in mega armour, because that means the rest of those meganobs are now massively easier to crush with High AP.

This only applies if you have multiple charges into the unit or of you want to finish them next round. Killing a leader won't change what that sqauds does that fight as in when the rest of the unit attacks go through.

Epic challenge is REALLY useful at killing the standard bearer in Cadian blobs

Daemons player here, I play psychological warfare using flamers of Tzeentch with Overwatch combined with rapid ingress. Epic challenge is a great way to break a super brick unit. Tearing out lemartes from a death company squad neuters them.

Oh I love Flamers Of Tzeentch especially with 3" deepstrike, you can put them in a really interesting position, then just wait out the turn until they can overwatch, just awesome.

The Deploy Smoke stratagem feels like one of those that I've never seen. I know its mostly just vehicles that get it, but for the few infantry that can, it's amazing. -1 to be hit and +1 to armour saves(most of the time) adds a ton of survivability. Like, lots of space marines(and equivelants) will use their -1 to enemy AP strats, when smoke does basically that and more.

@@hyperspacehobbies Aye, especially with the 1 in 3 chance to farm it back. -1 to hit, +1 to save, and a 6+ Feel No Pain makes them surprisingly durable.

I ran into the exact scenario with epic challenge last week. Used it on Ragnar and wiped the technomancer. Bladeguard unit with Ragnar wasn’t able to take the wraiths that turn but finished them off in the next turn. Loving all the content lately.

Well you almost nailed it, we actually recorded 2 more stratagems for this video and tank shock and grenades where in this, but for some reason the audio that we recorded got all messed up and I had to edit them out to save everyone's ears.

Clarification questions about the wraiths and FNP after you snipe out the technomacer. Isn't it not the whole phase but that activation that the FNP persists? Like if the cap is done fighting and then something else fights into those wraiths, they no longer have the FNP. Right?

All of a single units attacks happen at once, so even if you roll for a captain first and your opponent rolls for saves, it still counts as happening the same time at the rest of that particular units activation. so the dice being allocated to the Technomancer (and the rest of the unit) in this scenario, are triggered at the same time .He would be killed at the same time as any other models in his unit for a single activation. If it was 2 separate units going into the Wraiths+Technomancer then you could activate one. kill the technomancer, then with the second unit pile in and get your attacks vs the wraiths without the technomancer FNP 5+

Just be iron warriors. Terminators with mark of undivided with a chaos terminator lord. Liber heretics with full rerolls on hits and has sustained and leathal hits. Have fun

Question: So that teleport device can be used to call in ANY astartes unit, and not just terminators??? Including dreadnaughts?

If your talking about the teleport homer ability from the terminators, that is only used for that unit. But you can just use rapid ingress on that unit to put them in any eligible spot, you are not forced to place them near the teleport homer, you just get the to use the strat for 0CP when within 3" of it, which can be tricky to pull off.

Finest Hour is a Space Marine Captain ability granting the Captain +3 attacks and devastating wounds for a single fight phase.

But if you charge from out of line site for the unit not to have line of site in the first place they need pistol key word as you’d be over watching in combat technically or I got swindled at a GT

If you charge a unit and that unit wants to overwatch they can not overwatch the end of the charge phase because they are incombat. Pistol keyword doesn't work in the movement or the charge phase only during your shooting phase.😊
