Neat-o! And introduced as 2 parts of anecdotal Fantasy history. Yes, I also quite enjoy "Kingdom of Heaven" as well, GDN. "We are soldiers of God." Saladin was great. As an adversary of an Arabyan invader to expunge from one's home, any Northerner of the Old World doesn't want to face a sultan who is also himself a powerful sorcerer...and, being a guy named "Jafar". Woops - Sultan or Emperor, do not split one's forces; particularly, far and away. "Black Scimitar Guard" are not the type of expert soldiers to confront lightly, either. Hey, at least the knights' orders did vow a future bereft of any abuse of the innocent and of civilians, after the sacking of Copher; unlike the defenders' militant militaries. Yes, there are some parallels in this historic story to some events during 'our' 'real world's' recorded history of the Crusades, in the form of atrocities of war. I would be especially interested in seeing/hearing about the clash of theese two warring sides' contrasting magical orders and mages, in battle against one another while in the midst of the overall, massive forces. This is as instriguing as any from your "Campaigns and Battles" playlist, GDN. Thank you; I look forward to the next. Sigmar's blessings be upon you.

The Crusades were quite interesting to its real life counterparts, but the early parts of the event seems to be an allusion to the Reconquista, since Estalia is Spain, it was rulled by the Umayyads after the Battle of Guadalete against the fallen Visigoths. Most of the belligerents are the christian kingdoms of Portugal, Leon, Castile, and Aragon. There are some connections when it comes to Britonnia and the Empire's involvement in Estalia, and I could think it has to do with the Battle of Navas de Tolosa, where a combined Christian forces from Portugal, Leon, Castile, Aragon, Navarre, Many Knightly orders, and EVEN French and German crusaders fought against the Almohad caliphate (since Araby's map is similar to Northern Africa, the Almohad also lived within what is now Morocco)
