+SteveTheDruid: They don't need to be big productions. Like how DC comics churns out animated movies every few months that aren't really connected. They could do the same thing with Warhammer. Many of the books aren't related by more than a common setting and would work perfectly for that system. After they've gained some popularity and refined their technique, then they could go for the big ones like Horus Heresy and stuff. There is so much fluff in the universe they have a massive reservoir of source material, they could pick whatever they want. As long as the production is suitably well made, mature, and relevant to the established universe, I don't see a reason why people wouldn't watch. They already spend a fortune on models anyway.

I love this trailer. It was sick. Although the Chaos warriors are demonic killing machines. There are three scenes where an empire soldier fights pretty well and actually maim, wound, or kill a Chaos warrior. At 2:10, you will see one or two empire soldiers stabbing a halberd or spear into a Chaos warriors gut. Just keep pressing pause, play, pause, and play etc at a fast pace. And you see the end of the sharp spear stab through the back of the Chaos warrior, you will also see the Chaos warrior bending his body in pain. At 2:11, if you see in the background. You see a Chaos warrior slashing his sword horizontally at another different random empire soldier. But that different empire soldier charging at that Chaos warrior ducks and dodges the sword slash, then impales his own spear or halberd into the Chaos warrior's gut. Just keep pressing pause and play at a rotation at a fast pace, and you see the empire soldier stabbing the spear/halberd into the Chaos warrior's gut. The Chaos warrior tries to strike from overhead with his sword, but as the empire soldier stabs his spear/halberd into the Chaos warrior's stomach. The Chaos warrior lowers his arm with the sword and bends in pain. But at the very end of that scene, you will see the Chaos warrior regain his momentum and about to raise his sword again as if he was saying "Is that the best you got?" Not surprised, these Chaos warriors are demonically superhuman. But that empire soldier did a good job dodging his attack and stabbing his halberd/spear into the Chaos warrior's unprotected torso. And then finally, at 2:17, you see an empire soldier get knocked down on the floor by a Chaos warrior, but the empire soldier gets back on his hip and thrusts his sword into the Chaos warrior's abdomen. Awesome. Even though the Chaos warriors are superhuman, these three scenes show that empire soldiers can still put up a good fight.

As I mentioned in the above comment, we're pretty close to perfectly emulating humans and humanoid things in CGI and have been for about 10-15 years. There's still some fine-tuning left to do, but this quality of graphics likely won't get surpassed for a long time, if ever, because our advancements are going to be so much smaller the closer we get to perfection.

Damn those chaos warrior are just TERRIFYING. Those huge bastard in heavy armor are unstopable instrument of death. The way the cut through the soldiers sends chills. That's why I love this trailer, you truely get how scary those guys are. Pure relentless killing machines. Those poor bastard didn't stand a chance facing them, and even the elf. He knew he was kinda screwed as he was trying to get the priest out: just look at the chaos warriors slowly walking toward them like wolves licking their lips at the sight of a fresh pieace of meat, they know he's done now and are taking their time getting to him. Then of course, a daemon, because Chaos. Fuck I need friends to play a game again now.

It is what allows them to survive a melee with beings stronger, more skilled and tougher than they are. They're called "Warriors of Chaos". Most of them died fighting the Empire State Troops. The Elf Ranger carried the priest of Sigmar away, but was squashed by a bloodthirster, a greater deamons of Khorne, Lord of Bloodshed, one of the 4 Gods of Chaos. The priest invoked the divine power of Sigmar, founder of the Empire and Defiler of the Dark and went on to fight the deamon. Warhammer doesn't make much sense until you get into and realize it's runs on the Rule of Cool.

No, there were quite a few dead, but for every warrior of chaos who fell, two or three imperials fell too. 7 foot tall vikings in demon-forged plate harnesses, vs Joe Wurstlover and his musket or halberd.
