I played in my first team tournament in NC in February. They're a really cool setup! Since I was the least tactically-sound of my team (I'm a hobbyist first and player second), I ended up being that first person thrown to the wolves to get hard countered by the opposing team. At least my other teammates got to do well because of it! Great to hear your sisters tourney went well. The one sisters player I met (one of the few I've ever faced) was the nicest guy and walked me through his whole army setup. It seems the tourney scene is way chiller than people think.

I like how you mentioned Custodians' experience being if you can roll that 4++ or 4+++. If you can you feel invincible, if you can't you feel like paper. As an admech player I can relate. Games where you output quite a bit of damage, games where you miss everything.

Darn it Bricky, I cannot watch a video like this without also going on Wahapedia now. Thank you for introducing me to tabletop 40k in 10th edition. I watched all of your videos for each faction preview when 10th was first coming out. Now I spend a lot of time on Wahapedia looking at datasheets and rules or on Warhammer Community looking at new model release announcements or codex reveals. I do not nor have any plans on buying, assembling, and painting an army of my own since I do not have the time or money to spare for that, but I have typed up 23 army lists so far and have been continuously tweaking them as points and rules change during this edition. It has been a great time learning about the tabletop rules with 10th.

I would recommend Buying Table top simulator before buying anything. You can try the army out over there if you ever do have the time and money to get into things. And if you don't? You can just keep playing there with friends.
@captaincoolbreeze94297 ай бұрын
@@NoName-mq7uw I've seen the tabletop simulator and that would be an awesome option although I believe all the 40k stuff are separate mods. Not a bad idea and would be perfect for me except I don't know anyone that plays 40k. At the moment I really enjoy the theory crafting of creating army lists.

could try and play them using tabletop simulator! it's jank but it works pretty well for long distance games :D

That's really interesting that Drukhari units get to use the detachment rule for Unparalleled Foresight in Ynnari, never bothered to check that they had the Aeldari keyword, I assumed they wouldn't as other allies in 40k don't get the army they are joining's detachment/army rules. Might have to get some Drukhari models for fun

Its funny as a Magic player listening to Bricky talking about Triumph being good as there is a lot of debate whether its magic card version is any good (I think its cope in Magic but don't know enough about competitive 40k to know)

@rhysroxy43217 ай бұрын
I don't think you get plus one to hit and wound with sisters with fight on death, as they aren't selected to fight and just fight after being destroyed together (so they fight at the same time with the current buffs they had at the beginning of the phase, eg re rolls from the superior for repentia)

To add on your immolator complaints, battleline units shouldn't be locked at one size. I play admech and it's so annoying having to run exactly 10 Rangers or Vanguard. It sucks for character buffs and it feels bad that they can't be small and nimble or big and beefy. 10 is just the worst. And we can't even split the squad with transports...
