Well let's talk about it! (2 years later 😂) It makes me feel like Wario is an AntiBully. Remember, Wario has BEEN a boss, so he knows how to use brute force and underhanded tactics to get the win. The melody and rhythm make me have feelings like you need to be strong and smart at the same time to overcome some significant challenges, obstacle, or danger.

Spiked Pirate:You can hit its underside while the shell is floating up (before it flips upside down),thus making the boss quicker to defeat. Bīfun:Just spam Wario's shoulder bash and quickly toss him when you get the chance. Bobo:You can bounce off the enemies' heads and land a hit on the boss's head (only works for the first hit). Zenisukī:Its movement pattern is mostly predictable. Jump at the ghost enemies from below and toss them back at the boss as quickly as possible (just be sure to watch where the boss is before throwing the enemy).

These bosses are pretty good for Game Boy standards. I expected them to lag because of all the stuff onscreen, but then realized KIRBY's Dream Land had a lot of stuff like that, but much lesser than other Game Boy titles at the time.

The lamp, which Wario borrows at the end wasn't the main objective. The whole reason why he went to Kitchen Island is to take Princess Peach's Statue from Captain Syrup and keep it for ransom. So the lamp was likely a second chance for Wario to get a castle.

Not really! The birdhouse returns in world 2-1, when Wario chases goons after they raided Wario's Castle and they scared Wario's hen and Wario must bring hen back to proceed the pursuit.

When the first boss floats upwards, with the soft side down, you can walk under it and jump to hit it. Not sure if that only works with the viking helmet. You might know that already, but hey, I mention it for nostalgic reasons.

They somehow managed to make a splash of lava look badass on the Game Boy, though. I always pictured Wario standing on overheated rocks as the glow of the lava splash illuminates his determined face as he glares up at Funfun with grit teeth, ready to "WAHH" that man's whole career. Unfortunately, even with the Game Boy Color's coloration, I still imagined much of the background as swampy green, so I pictured the lava as spinach dip with orange zest, but Wario's color scheme and 2005 GameCube look remained.

If you consider the fact that Wario is demanding the genie grant him wishes after inflicting pain and suffering on him, I think its demands for money in exchange for the wish might not be unreasonable. Poor guy probably has no medical insurance, and the $8000 wasn't enough to pay those bills, hence the birdhouse.

I remember there being several different endings to this game. Depending on the ammount of coins snd treasures Wario has and gives to the genie, the castle Wario wishes for is different. Obviously the more he has, the better the castle. The bird house and hollowed out tree being the worst endings.
