I should try fast forwarding my game play too. Love the captions as someone who speedruns this game and has to skip the dialogue. Fun stuff! Edit: I don’t think I’ve ever seen a full screen crush like you had in Mangylox without dropping the Thwomp up top. That’s super impressive!

This game's VS CPU hard mode is utterly cruel. The AI is not only smarter, but they start off with less monsters to clear! It's not too difficult at first, but once you get to Mangylox, it starts to feel insurmountable. Your screen starts full, but they'll begin with half of whatever you get LOL I gotta go back and rematch Wario... Don't remember if I ever beat him back then.

There was an NES version that came out first, but instead of a VS COM mode it had a variation on the Round Game with boss fights (see here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHnWnImYjsR-j5o). None of the characters you face in the SNES version were in the NES version (except Wario of course), so these are all new characters that never appear again.
