Yes, Shadow does roll with guns at one point. The Shadow the Hedgehog game that was not well received you alluded to a few times was heavily criticized for having guns as a primary game feature. People really didn't like them in a Sonic game, saying it went completely against the spirit of the franchise as a whole. Personally, I quite enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog in all it's edgy glory.

10:46 For those who want the short version of Shadow's backstory, Professor Gerald Robotnik (not the Dr. Eggman one, but his grandfather) was trying to cure the made-up deadly illness of his granddaughter, Maria, and created Shadow in an attempt to find a cure. If memory serves, he made a deal with Black Doom (mentioned later in the battle) to use Black Doom's blood to create Shadow in exchange for Shadow collecting the Chaos Emeralds for BD. Prof. Robotnik realized BD was bad news and planned to use Shadow and the Eclipse Cannon to blow up the Black Comet and BD on it. Eventually G.U.N. (some military organization, I think UN?) decided Shadow was a threat before anything could go down, attacked the Space Colony ARK, arrested Robotnik, fatally wounded Maria before she ejected Shadow, and later captured and froze Shadow. About 50 years later, Eggman thawed Shadow and the rest is history.

As an amusing aside, in the Sonic the Hedgehog lore, Sonic hadn't been born yet when Robotnik and Black Doom made that deal and wouldn't exist for at least 35 years after Shadow's creation. The "canon" ending of the Shadow the Hedgehog game is that Shadow actually follows through with Professor Robotnik's plans for him, using the Chaos Emeralds and Eclipse Cannon to blow up the Black Comet, killing Black Doom and making Prof. Robotnik the only Robotnik to *really* have any lasting success regarding his plans.

I'll explain the "more desolate than Mephilis" line In Sonic 06, the one of the main antagonists was Mephilis the Dark. He is basically a being that is resembling to a shadow and took the form of Shadow the Hedgehog (haha, of course). He had no real personality outside of "I'm so dark and evil mwahaha," and Wario was attacking Shadow saying he had no real personality outside of maybe being edgy, more so that he was even worse than Mephilis, who is known mainly for having no personality.

Yeah about the gun. Shadow rocks guns and there is even a game where you either kill demons, humans or both with them guns. He was used as a military weapon and someone he loves was killed hence the vengeance bar at the start

To add to this, in one path it was revealed that Shadow was created using some of Black Doom's own genetic code if memory serves. So, in a way, Shadow's both a conceptual clone of Sonic (in that he's basically a color-changed evil copy of Sonic) and a genetic clone of Black Doom (in that Black Doom provided part of Shadow's genetic material.)

@@sentinel7672 In a conceptual concept, I can kind of see it but not entirely. Shadow has a unique backstory that kept him as an anti-hero throughout his existence. There already is an evil Sonic in the comics, his name being Scourge. Shadow was designed to be more of a rival or a tougher opponent than just about everyone else Sonic has have been put against. The Black Doom bit is pretty spot on though, so cudos man. ^^

Black Doom is a nice double meaning bar both referring to letting Shadow die(he's black and doom is synonymous with death), and the origin of many of his powers. He has DNA from this space monster guy called Black Doom, which allows him to control Chaos Energy much better than Sonic and Co. Black Doom coming to earth with his alien army was the plot of Shadow The Hedgehog, the game where Shadow uses guns.

Damn. Shadow got destroyed. But I think that regardless of knowledge one should be able to make a decent mental image of what happened according to the bars. Like one usually can in an ERB. But Shadow's bars were not structured properly to do that. Like for example in the Thanos V Oppenheimer, he (Oppenheimer) mentions that Death swiped left. I did not know anything about that, but my mind let me to conclude that not only was Thanos rejected, but he was also "simping" for Death.

I know basically nothing about Mephiles aside from the fact that he KILLS SONIC (literally kills him on screen) and then does this amazing evil laugh... And that's why he's my favorite Sonic character... He does it so easily too... Eggman tried so many different ways to get rid of Sonic and this dude just shows up and shoots him in the back through the chest... What a great cutscene... It's like if Mario just defeated Bowser at his crazy lava castle and then while he's walking home with Peach a random koopa unaffiliated with Bowser just pulls out a handgun and caps Mario in the back of the head in front of Peach before laughing maniacally... I love that cutscene... I need to watch it again now xD

Actually I just found out that Shadow's lines were written by someone else, and Cam in my opinion is better, so I think if he actually wrote Shadow's it would've been better, even though it was already fine. Also you didn't really need to research to find out Shadows lyrics, they weren't really reference heavy, and Wario has had a ton of successful games, they both are popular characters, I don't get that point, finally I hope your joking when you're talking about about the shoe horn line, great reaction 👍👌
