i was part of the small subset of people who had the dsiware paper plane without knowing about warioware as a child, the characters do indeed show up in it. so i was indeed extremely confused when this random afro guy showed up in this abstract minimalist game about paper planes

Oddly enough they actually added a few characters to the DSiWare version that had since been introduced to the series like Mike, Ashley, and 18-Volt

If you reached 100 points in Jump Forever, you get the ability to pick the background song from 3 options, drifting away, the pinball zone from Wario Land 4 and four seasons also the left/right function has purpose as I think around 70 or 80 they begin to move left/right so you need to keep moving around the center of the rope.

I do like how the games have WarioWare remixed music and use WarioWare sprites, like the congratulations screen in fly swatter using Wario to hit the last fly

so mobile games we have the hardest minigame in Super Mario Maker, Dr. Waluigi, Jump rope (that doesnt help you burn calories), skatebord, The first of many plane games, and that one smash bros assist trophy that was very scary if you were 6 years old. Lovely Start!

Paper Airplane Chase on DSiWare is really neat! Has a built in two-player mode and some premade courses for time trials. Had a lot of fun with it back then, and I dug the standard version in this game!

When I saw Sheriff the first thing I thought of was MVW (Mario VS. Wario the comic) where there was sheriff and rustler as one of the games they played, when it was completely different I went ._.

Perhaps the four biomes of Wario('s) World correspond to the four passages of WL4. The town is the Ruby Passage cause it's industrialised, the flower garden is Emerald, the paved countryside is Topaz caaaaaaause doodle woods? The fishing docks are Sapphire cause giant fish in the sky is absolutely terrifying

Useless fact I've discovered on my own about the Jump Forever minigame: if you play it before you do Kat & Ana's stage their sprites will be fully black with white ? symbols! No idea why the devs cared so much about spoiling their designs considering they're plastered on the boxart front and center 乁⁠(⁠ ⁠•⁠_⁠•⁠ ⁠)⁠ㄏ

In regards to your point about Sheriff almost bankrupting Nintendo, Nintendo has this strange tendency of referencing terrible things they have made in the past. Just think about how much they reference/show the Virtual Boy in SSB and Warioware games.

“Hello, Skawo.” I still remember being surprised that Dr. Mario had an actual ending with the viruses going into a UFO. Also, the Sheriff character is annoying in that 9-Volt and 18-Volt spirit in World of Light.

The Dr Wario one i always loved to replay despite the fact i'm bad at the game, but it was because of the rendition of the chill theme The Wario Land 4 soundfont for it makes it very unique in a way... What if in a parallel universe we got Wario's Woods ported from the nes to this game? Would it be too cumbersome to play on a smaller screen?

You would've had an easier time playing Sheriff if you read the instructions. You can pivot in 45-degree increments by pressing L and R.
