@@Blazeman330 so the change seems to be fairly minor, I reckon you need to +2-3 knowledge to reach similar casting speeds for warlock, I suspect they adjusted the higher end of the curve to balance wizards more!

Magic power bonus is what physical damage reduction is to armor rating. At a threshold of enough magic power each point of power = a point of power bonus. At that point a roll of magic power bonus is likely to outperform a roll of magic power.

Hey Dowsey, just wondering what attributes I should look for on a longsword as a curse lock? You left it out of the video so I'm assuming it doesn't really matter. I'm assuming additional weapon damage is first priority then I'm not sure, maybe max HP or physical power?

Yes, True/Additional increases the heal from Lifedrain more, remember that 1xTrue/Additional is worth about 3-4 Magical Power/Will

Great video, super informational. I noticed that you didn't have any suggestions for platelock or demon builds. Are they just not viable?

They're super niche and off meta. 100% you can run them and have success, but they are not the best builds currently for Warlock and I don't feel comfortable suggesting gear for them currently.

platecaster warlock has been super fun for me after the update, wear things like great helm and dark cuirass to stack knowledge and just focus on strength/phys power for your random attributes

I've noticed demon form is just shredding people in melee now especially after the headshot damage increase. No one can seem to hit me in the head and as I'm taller I can land headshots with ease. Any advice on what I should build if I want to rush people with demon form? I've literally killed some pretty geared people with demon form just running random stuff I've had on hand on my way to Lvl 15 today.

Demon form, build melee hybrid (like the example at the end of the video). Focus on tanky stats like armor, magic resistance and health. Consider tankier options for gloves, chest and boots as well.

Vampirism 100%, it’s warlock’s best perk IMO

Probably the cheapest warlock build is a Melee orientated build with a Shadow Hood and Occultist Pants. Check the timestamps for the relevant info for that. You can buy Magical Healing gear for about 1,000g too if that playstyle interests you.

The easiest builds to play are melee based. Either full melee with BOC+Phantomise or Kriss Dagger + Crystal Ball. Lifedrain lock with Staff + BoC is very effective too. Curse lock with torture mastery is always worth trying once you hit level 15

Curse of pain, power of sacrifice, bolt of darkness and hydra are a must - the last slot is preference and dependent on game mode, flamewalker is best for solos but is good in everything if used right and hellfire is good for bossing, I personally like to run bloodstained blade as a support option for buffing your frontline

​@connerclements1664 personally i found hydra to be super lack luster mainly bc of how slow the projectiles are, I will say it's amazing at setting up choke points but that's about it, I run cops, power of sacrifice, bolt of darkness, hellfire, and flame walker Perks are : shadow touched, curse mastery, vampirism, torture mastery. Basically the build is meant to self sustain on cops and power of sacrifice while constantly spamming high cost spells. Tbh that's the cool thing about warlock is the build variety.

Biggest gear question is when to take Malice over curse mastery. At how many points of will stacking would Malice be worth to take for torture mastery builds? I I am a big fan of double cursing players but havent gotten enough will to justify taking Malice.

3x Will will only add 1 damage to CoP’s initial burst damage, and since you can get 3x Will or 5x Magical power as a random modifier on chest pieces, you’re more efficient building a more desirable stat like Knowledge, Health or Dexterity as the static roll then using a chest piece that is only increasing your damage +1 on CoP

Having a hard time picturing how a build for caster lock would even look when you factor everything in. Just getting one of those stats to the "aim for" point seems to hurt my gold.

It is the most unfortunate aspect of being a caster in dark and darker. It costs a lot to have ideal gear, even more to have BIS gear. Melee warlock builds are far more accessible though!

I wouldn't be surprised to have Ironmace implement some type of CD on curse of pain. Infinite zaps is arguably one of the biggest contributors to the oppressive warlock at high gear. Can't believe we almost entirely dodged another round of nerfs😅

this video is way out of date. the set pieces don't even begin to have the same number of stats anymore and an all attribute stat is non-existant anymore so that makes most of the set pieces out of date they may still be BiS but only because there may be nothing better
