So little critical comment first, why is the gunner carrying the ammunition box instead of the No 2 on the gun. I have seen this with a number of modelers where the Piat gunner is also carrying the case of shells or the 2" mortar carrier is carrying his ammo as well as the mortar. I guys understood the weight of these things they would understand why there is a No 2 for the gun, not to mention the difficulty of setting the gun up if there is a contact. Plus you can id a No 2 if he has stuff related to the gun in his hands. (I was too small for the GPMG, so they made me the No 2 which meant ammo and kit bag with spare barrel etc...) Having said all that, like I said last time, the paint work is very nice and it never hurts to experiment with bases. The lad and I took your suggestion on board about the pants the troops were wearing and we have gone with the same idea. We are using GW colours with that blue grey and mid grey colours. Still only blocking in the main colours at the moment but the black I used dried glossy which is unusual for Vallejo colours.

Thanks for the observation Bodkin, i welcome all criticism. I get what you are saying but as i do not know how to play the game i am not making these figures for anything other than to sit on my shelf. One day i will learn to play but i get enjoyment from the painting mostly. As far as getting the figures wrong with carrying the wrong things i will eventually get better at it as this has been a learning curve in the 14 months of doing the hobby. Appreciate you watching and thanks 👍
