Let's hope we get Spanish troops eventually, as well as cavalry and more artillery for the Austrians, Prussians, and Russians.

Great video and introduction to the set. In painting and assembling the Portuguese Line Infantry, there are a couple of pieces that are difficult to identify. On the sprue with the shako heads is a piece that is a wine bottle? Or a hand bomb perhaps? Then the attached equipment on the backpacks all have bead rolls but one has a secondary role of some type. What is this? I have searched pictures of infantry and have not found these objects.

That is a wine/water canteen. We call it Cabaça in portugal and it's made from a dried and emptied pumpkin. Some of the backpacks appear to have an extra set of boots. I know this is 3 years late, but oh well, might as well answer it now :)

Thumbs Up. Nice review. However i noticed the metal figure is not in step with any of the other two poses. Quite a mistake in my opinion. Beano Boy

Portuguese infantry carried only one flag: the senior batallion carried the kings banner , the multicoloured one with the cross, the second batallion carried the plain coloured flag according to the lining colour of the uniform, not the facing colour. So there is one colour-bearer too many in this box.
