FUN FACT (even though you'll probably find this out while questing anyways): The area where Thrall and Garrosh had their brawl (or in lore it's called a Mak'gora) to the death is actually at the Stones of Prophecy in Nagrand. For us it was where Thrall and Garrosh Hellscream met for the first time. Thrall kills Garrosh Hellscream in the place where they started it all.

***** Garrosh prided the OLD Orcish ways, and also was a Bbigot to other races that were not Orcs. Thrall represents the Modern Orc ways he created once they were forced to stay on Azeroth. Both make great Warchiefs depending on time they exist in. Garrosh thought with an outdated attitude, that's why he failed.

@bruxistkodiak10 жыл бұрын
Skull800, it seems you too misunderstand "strength". True strength - the one that gives you the ability to lead, to inspire, to rule - is not the strength of muscles. It's not the strength of roaring out orders. A leader's true strength comes from his spirit and his maturity. Garrosh, despite become powerful and badass in combat, is still the same self-pitying, miserable kid that he was back in Garadar. He has not matured one bit. He believes that throwing a tantrum and killing off opposition will earn him acceptance... but all it got him was more and more enemies. Thrall's lack of martial prowess does not make him weak. Let me remind you that he was a formidable warrior in his time. He *chose* the path of peace and balance, and matured in doing so. His power does not hide in elemental magic, but in the spiritual conviction. Otherwise, he would have crushed Garrosh with magic from the very start, instead of facing off against him face to face. Look at that fight. It was only once Garrosh started flaunting his brutal, primitive strength that Thrall resorted to his shamanistic powers. It was only when Garrosh refused to accept his shortcomings and instead started shifting blame to Thrall, that Thrall realized Garrosh was beyond redemption.

I actually thought Garrosh made an excellent Warchief. If you checked out some of the quests where a few times the story had him getting very upset at innocents getting killed. And his suspicions against the Undead were certainly well founded if you leveled an undead from 1-30 you would know he was right not to trust her. If he had not went overboard in Pandaria with the power in the final instance, I would have said the charges against him were unfounded. For a character that was supposed to be so bad, he actually had a lot of wisdom and compassion for the innocent (Ashenvale and Stonetalon mountains).

***** agreed, which is one of the reasons i believe that Garrosh deserves some sort of honorable burial, or at least a burial somewhere in Nagrand together with Grom Hellscream by the time he dies (or near the grave of our Grom Hellscream) so that he can rest in peace as a warrior and a Hellscream

For anyone that's confused. This is an alternate timeline, Grom (Large orc holding axe) is garroshes father in the normal story he drinks the blood and becomes stronger but slaves to the fel energy. So in this timeline garrosh let's his father know of what will come of the orcs if he were to drink. So Grom refuses kills mannaroth with the help of his son (who actually isn't born yet) and become the true horde who fight to conquer not only draenor but azeroth. Which is where WOD will take place defending azeroth against the iron horde.

Amorian Duranin I've been hoping to face off against Azshara for years, though I think it would be better as one of the last expansion packs before the game ends. For the final expansion, I'd love to face off against the Titans themselves and defend Azeroth against their attempts to "reboot" the world.

So it's been said a few times by now so I figured I'd share it with you guys who haven't seen this yet. After we get to Draenor we basically free Gul'dan, Teron'gor and Cho'gall since they were bound and are forcing to keep the Dark Portal open in this "timeline". After we free them they all go in portals and we don't see them again for a while. Teron'gor we find in Auchindoun but when we defeat him he jumps off the platform. So we have no clue if he's dead (he most likely isn't though). During all of this with Garrosh and Thrall and all the other questing around Draenor the only thing we end up figuring out is during the legendary quest line we have absolutely no clue where Gul'dan and Cho'gall are at. Ner'zhul is going about the dark star and using it to kill everything and then he goes to Aunchindoun as well. We know Blackhand and Kor'gath are in raids, Durotan we obviously meet in Frostfire Ridge, and Nerzhul as mentioned is in Auchindoun. But what are Grommash, Gul'dan and Kilrogg all doing? When we arrive on Draenor and the portal is closed down after we save those 3 guys we're chased out of Tanaan jungle (and you'll figure this out when you play but you actually can not go back into Tanaan jungle yet.. it's restricted off which is probably why flying isn't allowed at the moment). We can assume that Kilrogg is helping Grom since Kilrogg's clan is in Tanaan jungle anyways. We do know arriving there that they are constructing something. A sort of... fortress.. Think back to Outland and the original lore. What was the fortress that was used sort of as a base for the Orc's onslaught into Azeroth? Guessed it yet? You could say it's a sort of... citadel. We also don't know what the blood of Mannoroth is still doing up there in the Throne of Kil'jaeden (or whatever it's named in Draenor, this is just what it is named in Outland in the "future"). Demons are already invading Shattrath when we get to Draenor so there's that. The Legion is doing something that's all we know for sure. Anyways this went way off track but I'm willing to bet that since Gul'dan is missing and we don't know for sure where he's at that he's probably still experimenting with Death Knights. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Teron'gor ends up still becoming Teron Gorefiend anyways alongside with Garrosh. Who also knows... the Death Knights were Gul'dan's way of kind of coming back into the "Horde" and not being killed. He could show this to Grommash (who might be sickened but who knows. We don't even really know if Garrosh ever told him that he was his son anyways) and end up being a boss in that Citadel. This part could or could not happen though. (shortened version): I strongly believe something with the blood of Mannoroth still on the Throne of Kil'jaeden as far as the legion is going to happen, Gul'dan still using DK's and resurrecting Garrosh and Hellfire Citadel ( *cough* ) ending up becoming a raid.

The Garrosh death scene can definitely spark some Garrosh sympathy. Thrall did kind of abandon him to go to the maelstrom kinda like,"K I'm leaving now bai.". Thrall shouldn't have left him in charge, but it's kind of hard to judge isn't it? Thrall was needed to save the world from blowing up it's kinda hard to step away from that, though maybe he should have come back sooner. And on Garrosh I constantly go back and fourth with the whole "he did what he thought was best for the Horde" angle. Maybe in his mind, but when considering how badly he treated all the non-Orc races of the Horde including the Darkspear trolls and Tauren who showed nothing but unwavering loyalty to the new Horde since its beginnings it makes it a little harder for me to feel too much sympathy because it makes me wonder just...what he thought was best for the Horde to begin with. Whatever it was it obviously didn't involve anything but Orcs. He shouldn't have been left in charge to begin with he obviously wasn't ready, but I really think it's arguable whether he really did what he thought was best for the Horde because at times it seemed more like he just wanted to turn the Horde into what HE wanted it to be at any cost.

I am Saurfang. Brother of Broxigar. You know me to be the Supreme Commander of the Might of Kalimdor. An orc - a true orc warrior - wishes for one thing: To die in the glory of battle against a hated enemy. Some of you have fought in battles. Peace has been with us for many years. Many years we sat idle but many years we battled. In those years - where strife the land and Legion and Scourge sacked our homes, killed our families - these insects dwelled beneath us. Beneath our homes - waiting. Waiting to crush the life from our little ones. To slay all in their path. This they do for their god. And for our gods? We defend. We stand. We show that as one. United. We destroy. Their god will fall. To die today, on this field of battle, is to die an orcish death. To die today is to die for our little ones. Our old ones. Our... loved ones. Would any of you deny yourselves such a death? Such an honor?" -High Overlord Saurfang addressing the Might of Kalimdor

Mannoroth's cursed venom pumped through my veins as well. I drove my weapons into the bodies and minds of my enemies. And while Grom died a glorious death - freeing us all from the blood curse - he could not wipe away the terrible memory of our past. His act could not erase the horrors we committed. The winter after the curse was lifted, hundreds of veteran orcs like me were lost to despair. Our minds were finally free, yes... Free to relive all of the unthinkable acts that we had performed under the Legion's influence. I think it was the sounds of the draenei children that unnerved most of them... You never forget... Have you ever been to Jaggedswine Farm? When the swine are of age for the slaughter... It's that sound. The sound of the swine being killed... It resonates the loudest. Those are hard times for us older veterans. *Garrosh Hellscream says:* But surely you cannot think that those children were born into innocence? They would have grown up and taken arms against us! *High Overlord Saurfang says:* I am not speaking solely of the children of our enemies... I won't let you take us down that dark path again, young Hellscream. I'll kill you myself before that day comes... *Garrosh Hellscream says:* How have you managed to survive for so long, Saurfang? Not fallen victim to your own memories? *High Overlord Saurfang says:* I don't eat pork...

And so ends the Garrosh Trilogy of WoW, i call Vanilla-TBC-WOTLK as the Arthas Trilogy, because so many things were connected to Arthas, the Plaguelands, the sight of devastation in the Blood Elf Starter Zone, and the WOTLK expansion itself. while Cata-MoP-WOD is the Garrosh Trilogy, with Garrosh rising as a Warchief, then as a warmongering despot, and finally a underling to what could've been his own father, only to die in this expansion, much like Arthas died in WotLK. I wonder if the principal antagonist in the next three expansion will be Wrathion given how underhanded he became since his birth.
@Izzack1010 жыл бұрын
Although I agree partly with some of the comments about Thrall leaving Garrosh to pick up the pieces, it was Garrosh's responsibility to keep the spirit of Horde (the family if you like) intact through honour and unity, although he may not have been 'ready', he like so many others took the quick and easy path to obtaining what he wanted. Rather than unite the horde he corrupted it and divided it, instead of moping about being left in charge, he should of risen as the strong leader he was capable of being, rather than blaming his shitty circumstances on anyone but himself - this is not the sign of a benevolent leader, that's the sign of an insecure & dangerous one. We saw a glimpse of his true potential in Cataclysm where for a second he understood Thralls message of honour, but eventually when the going got tough he was overshadowed by his insecurity to be as great as his father by any means necessary. It's a shame as Thrall said he made his own destiny- you reap what you sow, he oppressed his own Horde and eventually rejected everything Thrall (therefore the modern Horde) stood for in favour of his own selfish view. So although I look at this cinematic differently I still feel emotional seeing the death of Garrosh, seeing him lying there at the end feels me with sadness - Garrosh in my mind no doubt and no doubt in Thralls had the potential to of been greater than even himself had he of made the right choices.

I actually think wod was my favourite expansion. Yes the content drought was a nightmare. But it had so much potential and the story telling and cinematics had feel and passion behind them. The original ideas for the garrison system: seeing your follows and troops doing missions in the world would have been amazing. The city of karabor being available etc. could have been amazing, I wonder what went wrong.

I don't know why people blame Thrall. He was right. Garrosh chose to do shitty things and justify it. Nobody made Garrosh do anything. He was already messed up to begin with if he was willing to commit such crimes. Sometimes upbringings can warp people and you do have people that can go through similar things and not all turn into lunatics. Depends on the person.

That's the thing with blizzard, they always make you feel remorse for the end bosses, Kael'thas was once a prince and did everything to save his people, Illidan's story is really sad too between Malfurion and Tyrande, Arthas is the same thing and now garrosh, except Deathwing was also once the aspect of earth he was manipulated.

I will never understand why Thrall chose Garrosh over Vol'jin or Cairn Bloodhoof, both would have been excellent choices. They were more experienced for leadership, yes Garrosh was a hero but still that doesn't make him the most trustworthy candidate. I do feel bad for Garrosh in the end. Thrall really did leave a shitty plate for Garrosh.
@khalduras78410 жыл бұрын

On the other hand, it does close out Garrosh's story nicely by ending it where it began. It started with Thrall telling him, effectively, to man up and look to his own deeds and accomplishments instead of focusing on what others have done. And it ends the *EXACT SAME WAY*... in the exact same place.
@Corvertbibby10 жыл бұрын
Personally, for him to have a "warriors death" he would have to be bested by a warrior. Aside from Varian, I cannot think of any straight up warrior that could go toe to toe with Garrosh... And we've already seen that he would rather see Garrosh on trial. He died in a Mok'gora he agreed to. That is as honorable of a death that someone like Garrosh could receive.
@Rainstrum_9 жыл бұрын
***** I don't think Garrosh is dead yet. They could potentially bring him back. During the assault on Orgrimmar, Sylvannas offered to resurrect blood elf troops which means she can resurrect other races including orcs which might mean she could resurrect Garrosh. She even offered to defend him in trial which means she implies she needs him for something bigger. She also has a distaste for Vol'Jin which means she might be looking to over throw him. Besides that, it looks to me like Garrosh's hand move slightly at the end so he may still be alive.

I think this is all going to end with Gul'dan turning out to be the main threat, summoning the full force of the Burning Legion into Draenor. There are two wolves fighting in us at all times: One is Weakness, and the other is Strength. Their weapons are many, and their success will lead you down different paths. Who you feed determines who will win. Or so it goes. Nagrand showed us that a Strong Wolf can fail... But know this: It took a Traitor and an Oathbreaker to bring him down. Even when you are just and right and strong, you may yet fail to your enemies own. This does not lessen the glory, though, but heightens it.
