I'm addicted to this drama!! Their chemistry is very natural😍 What i love about it is even though gu wei yi is smart, handsome, blunt but they didn't make him as your typical male lead who act like a jerk that either expressionless or only shows annoyance to the female lead. He treats si tu mo well from the start even tho half-heartedly. And si tu mo isn't your typical damsel in distress that stupid & cant do anything herself. She carry herself well, know what she wants, although clumsy at times

Unlike other stories, wei yi didn't fall for her in a single day or due to a single incident. He gradually fell for her. In the beginning, he kept helping her because there was no one else to help her. Slowly, he started helping due to his own free will. Every day he liked her a little bit more than before. And yes like you said, he was blunt but not a jerk. He would help anyone if needed. He wouldn't have helped Momo in the beginning if Fu Pei were around. But he didn't act like some typical jerk who doesn't care about anyone's feelings. The best part is, he never hid his feelings from himself. Sometimes, geniuses like him act like they don't care in front of the girl and even fail to acknowledge his own feelings. Wei yi wasn't like that. He knew his feelings, bit by bit and never tried to impose them on momo. He knew how much she had loved fupei so he waited patiently for her to fall out of love completely and then pursue her.
