Warm Japanese-style vest made from old jeans! Part 1: idea, pattern, cutting

I sewed this vest and mounted the video for quite a long time, based on the fact that we have interruptions in light and everything. Such a difficult life now. But I am very pleased with the result. The vest turned out to be voluminous, cozy and very warm. And, most importantly, original! I designed it myself from start to finish. Japanese style is very relevant now. He is not catchy, not defiant, but very attractive. After watching this video, I hope you can make your original vest by placing the pieces of jeans differently. For example - horizontally. Or choose pieces with large frays and holes for even more Japanese, boro style! This video is not only educational but inspiring!
In the first video, I talk about the idea, building a pattern without a magazine, picking jeans for work and cutting. I wanted there to be no patterns at all, but I also received auxiliary patterns, but without them it would be much more difficult, because the product is made of pieces that must match perfectly.
In the second part, I will show how I sewed this denim jacket, all the nuances and details, how I decorated it and, of course, I will demonstrate it.
