On a talk with the director he was asked about why Indian Cast on TBBT. He said, initially it was supposed to be a Chinese or a Korean but on mutual discussion with rest of crew and writers they casted Indian character. Which was the best decision they have made according to him. Raj jubilantly and perfectly completed the 4 nerds which we wanted to see people in story.
