Producer Steve Holland confirmed that Paige was under contract to appear in 9 episodes. By the time, we get to her last appearance, The Big Bang Theory was finished and there was no way to include her in the present continuity. The point of Paige’s character was for Sheldon to realize how difficult and heartbreaking it is to be a child prodigy. The writer’s strike shortened up the final season and McKenna Grace had scheduling conflicts.

I've only seen parts of TBBT (ofc Netflix had to remove it right when I was about to board the ship) but I like to believe that in some ways, Sheldon never forgot about her. I remember watching a video essay talking about how acting is hard because, in general, real people don't try to show how they feel - they try to hide it. So displays of emotions have to be layered and nuanced to be convincing. The actress for Paige really did a great job at selling it but not overselling it; you can feel her sadness despite her efforts to shrug it off.

After watching Young Sheldon, I believe Paige surpasses Amy in every way and she is perfect for Sheldon. She was smart/genius like Sheldon (probably smarter), but with the personality of Penny or Missy (kinda), just more complex, messy and wit. They had complex relationship but especially great chemistry. In similarities they were close, in differences they could complement each other perfectly. Paige had the same as Penny and Amy but even more... beauty, intellect (genius), wit, sense of humor, wildness, high EQ and empathy, yet lonely, friendless, etc. That's why I'm annoyed that YS is a prequel, I'd prefer it to be a standalone show that went its own way. With changes and development that would match it (unfortunately, Paige's character was created after the end of TBBT). Paige forever.

Moreover, Paige is an ideal match for Sheldon (prodigy, genius, many similarities - but also mutual complementation, rival-firend, etc.). She's smart like Sheldon (probably smarter) but with the personality of Penny or Missy (kinda). But there is one major problem here... That YS is a prequel and so they can't change something that was already created before. Unfortunately the character of Paige was created after the end of TBBT. But the creators (probably unintentionally) created an ideal partner for Sheldon, who also surpasses Amy in all respects (and not only Amy). If it wasn't a prequel (but just a show about some child genius in Texas), these two would definitely end up together.

In my head canon, Missy and Paige remain friends. Sheldon alienated Missy just as he did Georgie and they didn't speak for years. It was Paige who convinces Missy to reconcile with Sheldon, which is then the time we see her in TBBT where the two of them are settling their dad's estate matters. This makes sense of the 10+ year gap between when he dies and when this matter is settled. Because they never actually talked to get things done until then. All the while Sheldon ignores Paige when she was the driving force between reconciling with his sister, all unbeknownst to him.

That's mainly because of Paige. Sheldon always had a "special", complex relationship with her. Rivalry, competition, anger, friendship, teasing, sadness, jealousy, some understanding (sometimes), connection and compassion, unconfirmed mutual crush, worry, etc. She is responsible for his certain development of empathy (to a certain extent), also for "hot beverage" and for "bazinga". In the later seasons of YS, Sheldon's development was worse, he was more like a robot... but that was purely because he had to be, because he was like that at the beginning of TBBT. That's why it annoys me that it's not a stand-alone show that would go its own way and development. If this wasn't a prequel, Sheldon and Paige would definitely end up together.

Im not an emotional person but having to think Paige's character in young sheldon is sad. Paige always think everyone around her is just messing around with her and her parents divorced affected her so much that she wishes to be like missy a dumb teenager, the writers wasted Paige's potential. For me it’s the opposite, She was not only academically advanced but also emotionally and socially aware. Paige's inner complexity surpassed that of Sheldon, who never had to face the same internal struggles. At just 13 years old, Paige navigated the complexities of being a young genius without much support and her parents divorce. This is why she sought out Sheldon's companionship, despite his occasional foolishness. She was a true genius in all ways but life failed her. If anything this shows a tragedy.

I have heard that initially, the writers proposed the concept of Paige passing away at a young age. In an alternate reality, Sheldon envisions a deeper and more meaningful connection with Paige. This concept also sheds light on Sheldon's refusal to acknowledge Dr. Sturgis, Dr. Linklatter, and President Hagemeyer, as he harbors resentment towards them for not guiding him in improving his social awareness. The loss of George adds another layer of grief, which helps explain Sheldon's adult behavior. The reason behind Sheldon's stubbornness and occasional meanness lies in the fact that he lost his inner spark when Paige died, making it challenging for him to accept affection and brighten up like he did during his youth. Sheldon's memory deliberately contradicts itself as a means to conceal the details of Paige's death. However, CBS ultimately rejected this idea as it was deemed excessively dark and hostile for a family sitcom. The writers strike messed up this season by rushing plotlines.

Missy and Paige both demonstrated their poor judgment and self discipline in that episode which is very likely what led to the demise of both Missy AND Page. By contrast, "old man": Sheldon illustrates good judgement and self discipline which leads him on to success in life.

Sheldon had his chance with Paige when she came to his dorm room and asked if she could stay there. If - instead of what he did say - he'd said: _"Do you need a hug?"_ He might have had Paige as his girl friend. What he did say was more in tune with who Sheldon was. But - who Sheldon was - ended up with Amy .... Of course - it was already determined who he was going to end up with so Paige wasn't going to happen. .

The original contract was for 9 episodes and she is bigger than any other actor on the show, so to manage her pay and time conflicts, they probably decided to leave it. Also, after the 2 years that both of the shows co existed, there was no way to introduce paige to TBBT, so they just left her. TBH, I'd watch anything with Mckenna Grace in it. Also, money is a big reason. I'd love if they made a spinoff just for Paige, or maybe they could do this romcom. Paige is perfect with Sheldon.

Page started off as a prodigy superior to Sheldon. But her character defects, such as lack of personal responsibility and self discipline, maimed that potential. Similar to Missy. By contrast, "old man" Sheldon had loads of self discipline and good judgement, which led him from success to success in life, which arguably included recognizing Amy's virtues as a wife. When confronted by the attractions of Ramona Nowitski, that motivated Sheldon to immediately propose marriage to Amy. I would call that an example of Sheldon's self discipline and good judgement which made a marked positive contribution to success in the remainder of his life. Character counts.

Really? English isn't my first language and I do not excel in it. But this seems quite easy to me. Watch something where they speak really fast, technical or where the characters speak unintelligibly (chaotically, mumbling, weird accent, weird pronunciation, etc.).
