That's because Chris Labarbera understood how Harry James played. This young lady should spend some time listening to Harry James.

She's a phenomenal trumpet player, but if you actually are used to listening to Harry James play this on the original recording, she falls quite short. Her playing has none of the brash, ferocious, punchy attitude that Harry played with. Everything is just too nice, too refined, too neatly placed. You don't have to try to perfectly copy the original but there is a scope of style you have to fall in and she missed.
