New York's hottest new video from 2002 is Cosmopolitan Blood Loss, by Long Island music group, GlassJAw. This video has everything. Creepy indie actors walking with purposeful gaits, stylish young people playing music instruments who mostly face away from the camera filiming them, tailored suits, a transcendent bridge, and an awkward ending.

I had a “vans warped tour ‘03” I believe it was, with this on it. I’ve always been a heavy heavy metal guy, but this song always stayed with me. No, a lot do. Their first album was a masterpiece of anger and hatred. After that, they became soft and started making mainstream sounding music and even apologized for their first album.
@levisorenson78739 ай бұрын
@James-if3kc That album excellently captures a moment in time when someone had suffered physically and psychologically at a fairly young age, and dumped it out in a very raw, unfiltered way. I can imagine it was pretty cathartic. However, I wouldn't expect or want for him to continue carrying that kind of energy around with him for the rest of his career. It's a great work of expressive art and music and I don't think they should be ashamed of it. But if he feels remorse for some of the things he said, it's not my place to tell him he shouldn't apologize for it. It's still my favorite album from them, but I'm not surprised they never put anything out like that again. I appreciate it for what it is, but I'm glad he's not carrying that pain and anger around with him two decades later.

He inspires my playing more than anyone...except maybe Omar's approach to playing. I want to start a grungy psychedelic band so bad! haha

+Scruffy Basterd Grunge pyschedelic just reminds me of "Title Fight - head in the ceeling fan", La dispute is also a great post hardcore band (even though these bands are more recent so they sound a little different, but def are influenced by ATDI and GJ). Pianos become the teeth - I'll be damned is also a great post hardcore song. Then i'd put The sound of animals fighting, Dance gavin Dance and Circa Survive (they're bring more things to the mix).
