This really is, without hesitation my favorite song of all time. I saw them in Boston for the reunion tour--and there weren't a ton of people there, but the people there were HUGE fans and we were going nuts and they did an amazing show. So I've maybe listened to this song like a few thousand times and here I am, about five feet back from the stage, hearing it live for the first time and damn, tears are just rolling down my face. Now I've a 46 year old man. I don't cry easily, but damn this is moving me! I cried my eyes out.

I wouldn't call this agitated drums, quite the opposite actually - feels very liberated. So much freedom, and as someone already in the comments has mentioned "random, not easy to follow". It's more like improv drums, which definitely requires you to be more open than closed or "agitated".

As an American, I am glad to have grown up as a teenager in the 90’s, listening to British Rock music such as Oasis, The Verve, and Ride. To this day, nothing sounds and feels as special as the 90’s. The last great golden age of music, but especially rock & roll. John Lennon was right: ‘There is nothing conceptually better than rock ‘n’ roll.’

I remember reading Perks of Being a Wallflower long ago. There was a list of songs in the books I don't remember the context of right now, but I do remember discovering Ride and The Smiths ("Asleep") as a result. Probably led to me exploring a genre of music I would otherwise have been oblivious to .... this song is timeless. I fell asleep to it last night.

Being born in the 90s, music from that era (especially this song) makes me feel so nostalgic. As I listen to this, I close my eyes and can see images of my childhood pass through my mind. The innocence I once had is now gone, but songs like this remind me that those memories are real. I want this song to play at my funeral.

I had the great fortune to be at Uni with someone from Birmingham who knew the band and introduced me to them and seriously opened my mind. I got to see them in Brum in the mosh pit supported by Mercury Rev. mental night. I got my jean jacket signed by the band and kept it for years - but like a twit I got rid of it. But the music ... I’m far from my 20’s, far from the UK, but it feels good to read of other people for whom this music still holds strong emotions and memories !!
