It was the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that allowed it, not the FCC. Bill Clinton signed it into law, and we are feeling the political effects of it now. I'm sure a case could be made that the law conflicts with already existing anti-trust laws, but nobody with the power to do so will ever challenge it. I gave up on TV completely in 2009 because of propaganda, social engineering, and lack of quality programing. I listened to radio mostly for many decades. The last few years I quit listening to radio because of too many obnoxious ads, news, traffic and weather reports. I'm not surprised TV and radio media is falling apart. The Internet, which I started using in the mid 80's is the way to go!

FCC pressuring radio stations for demographics on gender and skin color. What has our country become. Its happening across many industries and its not based on talent, education, experience, performance. This pressure is sinking our nation.
