(Warning Graphic Content) Rabbit Hunt with Single Shot .22 Cal, Helpful Tip and Exciting News

Hunting for Rabbit sign with the old single shot .22 Cal COOEY rifle model 39. Cat Tracks, 95% sure it's lynx but these days we can't be to sure. Come with me as I stalk on camera for a Snowshoe Hare in hopes of getting a couple of rabbits for Christmas. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Fall as Winter quickly approaches. Sorry for the big delay in getting videos out there but life has been getting in the way. Still actively searching for my next recording camera. And finally a hint of what's coming my way in the New Year.

I was muzzle loader deer hunting in NW Oregon in three or four inches of snow and just about stepped on a snowshoe hare. It came out from underfoot like a rocket. Made my ticker jump some.

Yes winter is coming and going at the moment. Cold snap followed by a mild snap, not like it was years ago, winter came and stayed until spring.

It takes a lot of skill to track a rabbit through scrub brush. I confess that I haven't had a lot of success at it. I was checking some shares the other day & I came across a few very vocal moose. Thanks for sharing.

Yes I like having a blanket of snow on the ground when I set my pens but I've set them out without any snow and done great with them. But I designed my pens to go in my sleigh so having enough snow for the ski-doo is a win win for me.
