I think the price point warranted all full size bottles. I definitely think they should have flipped what was mini vs what was full size. Mini toppers and black IMO.

I'm 100% with you on wanting all full sizes! I feel like folks into nail art already have dotting tools and clean up brushes, and while exclusives can be cool, there's nothing particularly pretty about these two tools. For $99 (or even a slightly discounted price) all large polishes and no tools would've been a better value, for me.

Yes!!! I think sometimes us nail polish lovers forget that not everyone has 63836483 nail tools and polishes laying around like we do. 😂

I think the whole collab Kelli Marissa x Orly for a Halloween Advent Calendar is a great idea & gift to give... congrats for them even doing something fun like this with Kelli. But opinion wise, after thinking on it after Kelli’s Live reveal, I do think full sizes for all the polishes would have been better (specialty colors/remixes, basecoat, topcoat, & toppers).... & since a lot more minis were included over full sizes; plus tools & stickers, then it should have been like a few more days longer.... 20 days or even 31 days of halloween. I know its a lot to invest in so maybe the 31 days would have to be a complete mini set with limited edition & regular Orly catalog colors with a the last day or two could have been a full size specialty polish with a special item included. - & yes, I'm one of those people that loves a full size topper if I like the colors & effects. (I don't do the color pink though.) - OR in general, maybe the accessories like the 2 tools with the stickers should have been like the big final day surprise, together as a set; or even as an additional separate set on the side for people/customers who wanted them. OR, a separate set of the 2 tools, stickers, paired it with the basecoat & topcoat as a separate set. Then, sold them both as a bundle set for customers who wanted both. The possibilities are endless. Sorry for my comment being very long.

I wish they would release chrysalis in a full size. It's a perfect copper with verdigris. In case you didn't know, a chrysalis is the hard shell a caterpillar builds to transform into a butterfly. If it's a moth they spin a soft cocoon for this purpose. These insects mostly liquefy and reform into their adult insect selves.

Your reaction to opening this Advent Box was like watching your kid on Christmas Day. I think she did a good job with all the items inside. It could easily be given as a gift to someone just starting out or someone experienced. Either way thanks for sharing.

Hi Janixa! I believe Kelli said the windows on the box are glow in the dark that’s probably why they feel textured. We need more Orly polishes in different colors with that copper shimmer-love it!

I did buy this box cuz the polishes looked cute but I also wish they had been full sized bottles instead of minis. If they still wanted to do minis then I would’ve preferred for Haunted Symphony to be full sized instead of New Moon. I already have black polish and don’t need a matte black one

Yes I agree. I think one of the specialty finish polishes should have been a full size and not the black.

I love this calendar! Kelli Marissa X Orly make great collabs! FYI for those who are ordering, I used a letter opener to keep my doors in tact when opening. I am SO in love with haunted polishes! Please Orly we would love to have them as a full size set next year!

I really wish they would release the inside polishes on their own! I love 5 of the inside polishes, but not nearly $90 worth, and I don't care for the gimmick of opening the advent calendar or the other items inside. I would buy them if they were stand-alone, but I guess they're hoping the ~exclusive~ tag will make people buy the whole calendar.

Yes, although I wish the same, it wouldn’t be a good business move. Selling things as exclusive in a calendar then releasing them on their own for less money would be a slap in the face to those who buy the calendar.

I'm thinking of how Cirque does their advents? oh well, money saved for me!

Agata from 3 years ago would have been all over this box but Agata today is wiser and pays more attention to "details" and not shiny lol So whats shiny? The box, its very adorable, KM name attached to it. So whats a "detail"? Price, size of product for example. I like the polishes, dont get me wrong, but minis, black matte, stickers and all the other stuff is not worth 90 to 100 busks to me. I rather go to Bluebird and get theirs for 80 with full size bottles of 8 polishes. Thanks for a great review though! You did a fabulous job!

This is the first advent calendar that seems really worth it as far as what you get. I like the variety of full size and mini items, tools etc. I love Kelly marissa too and her collabs always look great!!!! ❤

Honestly... *DON'T READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANNA KNOW ANYTHING YET**** they shoulda switched out the minis & full sizes, not added so many "extras" and kept the price the same. That said, looks pretty fun to open. I love Kelli. Orly.. it's a classic. It would make a good gift for someone. Thanks for your review!

Why so many minis? The collection costs $100. I love the revamped Synthetic Symphony and Metamorphosis, and I love the toppers, and the box is really cute, but... I think I have an attitude against Orly right now. I really love these polishes, but I can't justify spending that much for what we actually get. Maybe if we had gotten full size bottles. I'll probably pass on this one, and I'll probably just go sulk about it.

Last year at least Cadillacquer, Colores de Carol and Dam had full-sized polishes. I don’t remember if all had LE shades, but I believe at least Cadillacquer did. It just feels a bit money-grabby for Orly, a big brand, to have so many minis and not even have the top and base coats to be full size, if they absolutely had to include those. I wouldn’t be very excited to open a door and find a tiny 5ml top coat. Yay. If they wanted to do minis for the haunted shades, I’m sure they could’ve afforded to have more of them at least and still make a nice profit. Like have one behind every door and include a tool or something else with it.

ikr! I usually don't mind a few minis, or even a sticker or two, but there's only thirteen items total. Bluebird Lacquer's Halloween advent calendar is almost the same price. Halloween/fall is the season everyone looks forward to. I can hardly wait to see what ILNP comes up with, and all the other beautiful fall polishes you'll, hopefully, swatch for us. (lol, my slight annoyance against Orly this season is right up there with Zoya's $2 Z-wide brushes! I love them both but...) I think Kelli is awesome, so it's a bummer for me, unless I get it anyways. No, no, I must think this through. @@naillacquertherapy

I was excited about this advent calendar but was really disappointed to see that the toppers and matte black were full sizes and the remixes/color were minis. Imo, it should’ve been the reverse. And now after seeing your swatches and how great they are -especially chrysalis- I’m even more bummed. I don’t need the tools or the base and top coat, so I couldn’t justify the price. Even for that adorable box. 😔 Regardless, thank you for another great video.

Off topic, but I've been meaning to ask. What products to use in your hair and in what order, usage? My daughter is the only one of my 6 kids who has very long curly hair that we've struggled to manage. Can you help?

So I actually don’t do anything special with my hair. I think I have just been blessed with good genetics. I use Mane n Tail shampoo and Tresemme mousse. That’s it! Not even conditioner.

I’m sorry but I think this Advent Calendar is a cash grab. It’s only a few polishes (just meh, some I would never use) and ALL of them should have been full size. Also, I would have preferred all polishes, the brush and dotting tool can be found very easily elsewhere. In addition, the top coat should have been quick dry - no one waits for their polishes to dry for hours anymore! I was very disappointed in this.

Things that people usually label as cash grabs are things that seem like they aren’t thought through very well. No real work put in. They just slap a name on it and it’s for sale. This isn’t that. Obviously you can see the work and art put into the box alone. Then we have the art on the bottles.
