Desires are inherently painful and involves a lack of something. Love is inherently blissful and always complete. The love of being will always be more powerful than any desire because love is unconditional and desires are based on conditions.

Agree entirely although with the caveat that; compassionate earthly love in the separate self is predicated on suffering. Without suffering there can be no learning, no understanding and without understanding that lacking we cannot extend our compassionate love to those who need it most, those blinded by their own towering vacuousness and it's long shadow so cast over others, who too begin to carry the darkness over themselves.

@@TheYahmez yes that is part of the beauty of creation. Desires automatically involve suffering as long we identify with those desires. It’s not even wrong to desire, but it’s just about being aware of what desires even are and learning to navigate all the desires of the universe with utmost coolness. Love is the ultimate meaning of Life. Life is unimaginably amazing with no explanation to the miracle of our existence. Love, laugh, and cry with the whole world. We are all living beings.

I don't desire to be superior, I desire to be loved. The key is to create a society where people are free to exchange with one another so that people may engage in win-win transactions. Even if you and I have transcended self, we live in a world with many who have not. There need to be controls in place so that cruel behavior punishes not just the abused but the abuser, in a very real, physical way. In my book, I propose what such controls might look like. I am open to discussion if people disagree with my ideas.
@emmanuelweinman96732 жыл бұрын
the desire to be loved will vanish when the realization that you are love sets in. desire is inherently a void trying to be filled with energy. no need to control anything, because everything will be destroyed anyways.
@nicholasblakiston62972 жыл бұрын
@@emmanuelweinman9673 I have no desire for my desire for love to vanish, for it is a desire that promises a joy beyond all comprehension. But just because I desire to be loved does not mean this is the predominant desire that drives my behavior, for compassion and my desire to serve God are higher motivators. There is a sphere of influence that I have and there is an infinite amount outside that sphere. There is no shame in acknowledging what is within that sphere, nor what is outside it, for God has determined what should be within my control with an awareness that surpasses my own. In response to your destruction comment, not all must be destroyed, just the falsehoods that have enslaved us. And once they are, we can create incredible new things that don't need to be destroyed to placate the whims of the political class.
@emmanuelweinman96732 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasblakiston6297 your real world goals are very nice, but remember the real world is ultimately unreal. When I experience the world from the big picture perspective, there is no room in my mind for changing anything. There is only awe. I hope you bring the change you truly want for this world🙏🏼
@nicholasblakiston62972 жыл бұрын
@@emmanuelweinman9673 Regardless of whether it is real in some greater sense, my experience in this world is as real as it gets to me, and the compassion I feel for others in this world is real as well. If one sees no purpose in existence here, then there seems no reason to carry on living. For as long as one is living here, compassionate actions such as feeding hungry children are positive changes that should be embraced, not desires that should be ignored and said to be unreal.
@emmanuelweinman96732 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasblakiston6297 I agree that compassion is extremely important. It’s not possible to have a complete understanding of yourself without having compassion. However, Compassion is still just a part of All Love and Life. Compassion is a compass to encompass as much of Life as possible. But compasses are not the only things to focus on in Life. Awareness, Bravery, Dharma, Love for All, and Imagination are also crucial parts of Life. Don’t be afraid to expand into every part of life and be aware of everything happening and have compassion for all beings throughout all the love you have for all beings of Life. I am only 24 and obviously don’t have the answers, but I know for certain Life cannot be fully understood by any set of words, thoughts, or feelings. Live your life as best as you can. No judgement from my end 🙏🏼

Ego is limited to the Law of Diminishing Returns
@ixjaguaroracle85952 жыл бұрын
Knowing this law doesnt seem to change anything though. Theres some other mechanism involved. My theory is that ignorance is actually the key its much deeper than the English word. Scripture says ignorance is where the gunas come from. Ignorance is also how the dualistic occurrences keep cycling. What if ignorance was a kind of disbelief? A predisposition of consciousness to IGNORE the metaphysical laws. Therefore if this is true, then the key to awakening is working with this innate mechanism of "reality-ignoring". Gnosis of certain laws helps, but ive seen on myself it still doesnt stop this habituated ignoring capacity that seems to be the major issue

It honestly makes so very little sense to "get rid of the I thought" am I not experiencing this life? I could try to imagine there is no I, but I sure am the one who feels all the things that happen to me, that experiences all that this life trows at us. How could you say that I is an illusion? I mean if you beat someone to death slowly with a stick and then tell them that they shouldn't suffer because there is no one that's really suffering because there's no one there at all, that's just doesn't make any sense, those people will experience the pain and the emotions that come with it

I don't understand why God/the Source projects/detaches fragments of itself - outside of itself - only to expect those fragements to return/find their way back to It, on their own; and through such a... convoluted maze of illusions. Perhaps It's bored - or insane? But then again, perhaps it's an inherent function of its being?

God is eternally one, and we are one with Him eternally, but we thought we could separate from Him and make a world filled with our own content. Fragmentation never happened in truth, but there is part of our minds that believes it did. That part is the ego. Our part is to withdraw this belief, which is closely guarded by the ego so that we remain unaware of it. For once we realize that by our own belief does the ego have its existence, we are in a position to make a decision for truth, God, and the Kingdom of Heaven.

"Patterns" is a song written by Paul Simon. The lyrics are about how life is a labyrinthine maze, following patterns which are, because we are trapped in them, difficult to unravel or control. "The night sets softly With the hush of falling leaves Casting shivering shadows On the houses through the trees And the light from a street lamp Paints a pattern on my wall Like the pieces of a puzzle Or a child's uneven scrawl Up a narrow flight of stairs In a narrow little room As I lie upon my bed In the early evening gloom Impaled on my wall My eyes can dimly see The pattern of my life And the puzzle that is me From the moment of my birth To the instant of my death There are patterns I must follow Just as I must breathe each breath Like a rat in a maze The path before me lies And the pattern never alters Until the rat dies And the pattern still remains On the wall where darkness fell And it's fitting that it should For in darkness I must dwell Like the color of my skin Or the day that I grow old My life is made of patterns That can scarcely be controlled."
