Totally agree with the "legend" word being overused but utterly deserved for this man. I was a young kid getting into football when Neil came and brought with it for me the golden era. Trips to Wembley, playoff success and then onto Anglo-Italian cups! I know you cherish things more when you are smaller but I remember meeting Tommy Lawton before he died taking time out to speak with me, Colin Slater the same, Draper, Johnson, Yates, Short, Cherry, Devlin and on they go! I also remember meeting him with Derek Pavis around Goose Fair and people were following like they were Kings! Brilliant times and ones I so wish would return to the lane soon.
