Keep up the great work Simon (and team)! I seem to recall an early version of warographics where Simon was concerned this type of channel, providing updates on current conflicts and a perspective on Foreign Affairs, might not be something that would be monetisable through the yt algorithm. (perhaps i am misrecalling?). But this vid has been up 1hr, and it has 14k views (about to hit 15k whilst typing this ...), 1.4k updoots, and 167 comments. and the channel has a measly ( /s) 950k subs Keep up the great work, and thankyou :)

There is a very well done video basicly minute by minute of this battle. The Russians and Syria didnt think we could coordinate this level of attack with such a small amount of ground forces. Had we not been able to get the air assets in the fight, we would have lost. But the one thing we do better than any other military is logistics.

There's a reason russian men are more known for ballet than battle. Unlike their western counterparts, they're not exactly a martial people.

no the actual top tier wagner soldiers are commandos and SOF, the rank and file are not. In this case it was about 1-5 Wagner to Syrian.

@@kyledabearsfan The Brits standing military is laughable. It's like 80,000 combined troops from all branches. And you're locking all your citizens up for speech. You guys couldn't bring anything to the table except for elbows and a pretentious culture. Britains time has long since passed. Even Ukraine has more power and experience than you in conventional warfare now.. ✌

They perform a similar role to SF, if not the exact same role. Direct action raids, partner force training, and generally being Russian's hidden arm in places they'd rather not talk about too much. They just aren't supported by their parent government to the same extent US SF are. Does that mean they are at the same level of expertise? Who knows. But considering they were in Syria, they were literally Russia's counterpart to US forces, doing the same anti-ISIS and anti-partner force missions.
