both her parents are Polish AND musicians - her mom is Elżbieta Ostojska, a former singer in a band called ProForma, apparently pretty popular in the 70s, and her dad is Marek Mozgawa, bass player. they dedcided to leave Poland and move to Australia, I guess Stella was born there. I read somewhere she has double citizenship and speaks Polish. what's interesting, her mom tried to discourage her from being a musician - luckily, she did not suceed... Stella is such an amazing drummer!

The masses do have TRASH taste. There is no doubt about that (what fucking mindless, worthless, failure sociopath was President of the United States of America from 2017 to 2021?). Warpaint is not obvious, simple-minded, or "flashy" to hide a lack of talent. They DO have talent, and integrity, and creativity, and vision, and insight, and class... therefore, commercial success will forever be denied them. The great paradox for REAL fans of Warpaint is whether to rejoice in that fact, or to mourn that fact.

Found them because I was fascinated by Stella's drumming in a video of Kurt Vile's I saw. I looked her up and then the rest is history. So glad to be a fan of this real talent by my own peer group. I love them all!!!
