Top 10 Warren Buffett Portfolio Picks goo.gl/2rijMx. Understanding the thought of Warren Buffett behind his investment is import to understand for any young or experienced investor.
@redarrowhead26 жыл бұрын
You should not invest in a few stocks, for example 1-5. The reasons are: 1. You are not spreading out your risk, so if you are wrong, and even buffet has been wrong, you will be much worse off. 2. You will probably have lower returns, unless you are very lucky in those few choices. Index funds are hard to beat partly for this reason. Even though the SP500 averages FIVE HUNDRED US companies, it has had a very high average return of 7-10% per year depending on the time frame you choose. Having said this, that strategy is better than nothing.
@redarrowhead26 жыл бұрын
David James, That is better than nothing, but mathematically it's better to diversify. You don't have to go crazy; having about 10-20 good picks is good enough.
@eastonwilliams17226 жыл бұрын
redarrowhead2 I think diversification for knowledgeable investors is bad. Number one reason is that you should invest in what you understand. In my case I understand Tech and Energy quite well, but I may not invest in financials or retail. If you pick 4 stocks that are of fair value and are good companies, even if all of them are in the same exact sector you can make a lot more rather than having it spread out in the market. One bad company out of 4 will drag your profits down.

Gerald Ong not really that hard, 1.8 is close to 2. Luckily, .2 away from 2, so, you multiply 365 * 2 to get 730, then the part you rounded up is .2, which is what you need to subtract from 730, and, luckily .2 * 365 is 1/10 of 2 * 365, so just move a decimal to get 73.0 to get final value of 730 - 73.

Some work so hard for their first or second opportunity owning a business. Many things go wrong and sometimes you don't know when to give it up. It's never gonna be easy, whether you stay or go. I guess what makes it worth it is the experience. Can't always focus on the monetary reward- I don't think money should be the root of inspiration for a business, but rather just a type of conditioning. Nothing beats doing what you love AND generates income.

I am amazed by Mr Buffett's modesty and despite his obvious analytical nature - keep a sweet sense of humor. It is also refreshing and wonderful to hear him admit his faults, but conquer obstacles through continued learning and ultimately achieve phenomenal success. Thanks for sharing!!

Just buy low and sell high. Some flips take hours or days other flips take time, could even be safer than some quick flips. Know the value of things.

Yes, because cash will definitely go down in value over time. Which means you lose money by letting it just sit there.
