It just sounded very similar in parts, so Warren G asked for permission and it was granted. This video was years later.

Aye, remember it well. Played to death all throughout the summer of that year - and rightly so. They'd occasionally play the non-MM sample version too but this version was always my favourite. I think this song has a timeless quality about it. Seems that each new generation who discover this are taken aback at how such a bloody soulful song could've gotten under their radar.
