To complement my last upload, I thought it would be suitable to chuck up these final videos I have stored away of the Warringah veg service. This time we’re seeing the collection being conducted with how things were in the URM contract that started in July 2009. Every household received at least one new black body 240L bin with a lime green lid to use for the modernised garden organics collection system, which were emptied fortnightly by side loaders. Two trucks were purchased brand new specifically for these green waste runs and handled this job just about right through the whole 10 year contract, while the third and fourth trucks for greens were various vehicles sourced second hand over the decade period.
In these couple videos we see URM’s truck 169 on show, 1 of the 2 side lifts purchased brand new for the task at hand, being big 29m GenV/ACCOs with double paddles. It’s not the first time we’re seeing truck 169 on this channel, as over 10 years ago it featured in two long uploads titled “Isa Gunning 169”. The same operator is at the controls here, with this truck still only a few years old at the time of video. I shot this first part of footage on a Thursday mostly around North Manly, with a single clip taken on the border of Freshwater. Not an overkill video either, should be a satisfying watch with this loud Euro 4 model revving and knocking over some groups of bins under sunshine.
