WOTLK Arms was pretty fun, but the problem was since the rotation revolved around Overpower it meant you were discouraged from stance dancing.

@@810wasaninsidejob9 stance dancing is key to mastering warriors as there are many useful abilities in each stance: Defensive- disarm, shield wall, shield slam (removes magic buff on enemy) shield bash interrupt, spell reflect Battle- overpower, retaliation, charge, spell reflect Berserker- intercept, recklessness being raged starved after switching stances can be annoying though

The title for getting exalted with every BG has been in since before achievements. There is also an achievement for doing it but that doesn't mean it came with achievements, though the title did not come in pre-tbc it did come before achievements.

@jay1201x ofc they can. stance dance, time cooldowns, spell reflect. get a macro for def stance/spellreflect cast, use the macro late in the mages spell so that he wont cancel it with a weak ice lance or something. spellreflect a deep freeze for stun, frostbolt for the slow, pyro and AB for more dmg. but CC spells are the most clever to reflect

@headchief4 Arms spec, Snares heal warriors the second wind talent and also engraged regeneration. He also put his spell reflect up alot but the mage timed his spells right.

Yup. Get behind them and rend. Or you can confuse them and bladestorm right off the bat. Force them to blink or iceblock. Cancel bladestorm. Now, you have both charge and intercept to play with.

@Aliceinchains1234 Actually, a mage who has been intercepted is forced to use blink, as a 3 second stun is a very long time to be stunned. A geared warrior could quickly get the mage to about 70% health left in 3 seconds. Thats the reason he is intercepting first, and not charge, as 1,5sec is only half the stun intercept does. A good mage would not blink after the first charge, but he is forced to blink after intercept.

can also do forms of /equip (which is what you see in this video) /cancelaura will take off whatever buff it is, can be used for any buff on any class whenever (since buffs cna be clicked off its the same thing)

Swifty, I think you should mention to use spell reflect as the mage is trying to shatter combo, because it will not just reflect the frostbolt, but the frostbolt AND the icelance. This puts out some pretty decent damage on the mage, but more importantly puts a snare up on him.

Hey buddy, I was hoping you would put this up, my duel partner happens to be a frost mage and I happen to be a NE warrior lol, and yeah you didn't miss anything here so very nice job. I made an Undead mage as well and took him engineering especially for the boots for warriors and rogues :D best profession IMO.

As a warrior, use your trinket in deepfreeze, use your +hp shout and +hp trinket to get the maximum effect of the 10% hp regeneration from getting stunned. Try to survive using shield wall and a +resil 1hander/shield and enraged reneration after you bladestormed his pet to death. Your bladestorm will be up way before his iceblock. Use fear once his mirror images are out. If you run out of snare, stay in distance and spell reflect his first snare spell, run towards him and charge after he blinks.

The warrior is then caught in sheep + nova, so using his trinket will grant him shit. Shatter, dead range (cone of cold) and df him with your petnova. Just just icelance him, singe he'll use trinket. You'll get charged eventually, blink and get your mirror images out (they eat his spell reflect). Shatter the with petnova once spell reflect is out, if he's still alive let him charge, nova-deepfree and shatter and then finish him off in dead range.

im talking at the start of the fight. also, start in defensive stance. Blow shield reflect right like .2 seconds before the duel starts. It's pretty funny. They get rended, and freeze themselves. It's beautiful.

zerk rage fear,trinket death coil if u got,bladestorm slow/ bladestorm ASAP he uses his shield,like first: attack his pet for some rage,mortal strike him,bloodrage if not enough rage-bladestorm,and shield should be gone fast,then try get him stunned a little with charges :)

@Jam0nBread Let's start by saying this :D The video is from 2009, they couldn't do the "jumping-thingy" whatever it's called and piercing howl didn't help that much since the warrior is slowed as well (90% during the fight). So yea, the mage could've done the 3-7 yard weakness. /watch?v=48K_8EyyGwc&feature=related However, now it's harder to do it but still possible. Even if they go out of range ONCE to charge :D

@JKDwarband Its called ICE BARRIER , and i agree , it sucks , even for me as a DK , the only defence i got is anti magic shield and death grip ..but still , there cooldown on there slow or snare spells are like 10 - 15 sec , and they got like atleast 4 of them

I love being frost mages, almost always have a freeze ready, improved cone of cold, frost nova, ice barrier shatter, pet ranged freeze and backup deep freeze :D

intercept and charge (as I've heard and am to lazy to check) share the same cd, so this no longer works. As a warrior back in BC, I only lost to frost mages. This is an arcane mage and doesn't have nearly as much snare potential as a frost mage. Also he does measly damage for an arcane mage in the first place.

i'm still learning that siwtch to shield one-hander but i used it on a rogue and i blocked like more then 10 strikes of him i had almost none health left and i bliocked alot it really helps thx

If you get frozen by a frost mage, wait about half a second and hit spell reflect. If they have deep freeze up theyll be spamming it, but if you do it right when you get frozen theyll see it and catch it before their gcd. It works alot for me :)

The way i counter Frost mages is Don't charge or intercept mount and rend him then ham string if possible so you have 2 charnges to counter his blink and frost nova helps me alot.

And if he lolstorms you, lure him away from your pet and ice block. If he goes on your pet just frostbolt him. Use counterspell while dead ranging, it will stop him from using his fear shout.

Man I miss this WoW. Where dueling was beast and playin outside in the snow and darkmoon stuff. Now, you go down ONE SPECIFIC PATH or you WILL fail. You HAVE to be X spec with X talents and X glyphs and every piece you wear MUST be Tyrannical or you lose... I love it when there are many viable options!!

@Penguinmenace Advantage != 100%. A very good warrior can beat a very good mage, if rng tips in their favor, the fight lasts too long{warrior plays defensivly} or has a lot of LoS{to force an extended fight}. Mage *does* have a massive advantage- don't get me wrong, but warriors can win with LoS to draw out the fight. Also vs good mages remember you're fighting mana bars, NOT His health bar. We're hard but not impossible. :)

This frost mage never uses ice lance when he could be; while waiting for freeze/ice bolt opportunities. In Cata, ice lance is more than a jab or potshots. They do really good damage esp when in DF.

The mage you are duelling is does not play very well :C You always save blink for the 2nd charge/intercept (depending on what he does first). The moment he runs towards you, you dead range the warrior (sometimes you can manage to jump while he charges, then you'll immediatly have some distance), use nova and fake-cast sheep him (that means you cast sheep, stop it once he goes to def stance and spellreflects, icelance the spell reflect and then sheep).

Annoying as hell thing is getting a full frost bolt absorbed by frost ward on an arc mage, because they get almost 1000 spellpower form it and the next hit's going to be hard, and your out of spell reflect.

The current problem with frostmages is their ludicrous damage, even though they're frost. Basically, you can't extend the fight in your favor, because they can just hammer you down -.- Nevertheless, some good tips. WIll try some of it :P

pro tip for any mage watching. dont ice lance randomly if the warrior is in a nova. because warriors heal for a certain % of their health every time they get critted. if you ice lance they get healed for most of the damage done. makes it a waste
