the trick is not to expect anything good. Don't draw to be good, draw to make yourself happy, draw because you have ideas you need to express and get out there. If you can't be happy being bad at it you'll never get good at it. If you really want to learn to draw start by drawing for 10-20 minutes every day (more if you're on a role but try to make it at least 10 minutes every day. switch between drawing something you like and drawing from life or photos

then get a sketch book, skills you learn with pencil and paper transfer very well to digital anyways so if you eventually get a computer you will have some basis to start from.

I've been drawing for about 8 to 9 years now, it's definitely a long climb to get to the point where I am now but just keep on practicing and you'll get there! Just be your own artist and do what makes you happy! That will make the years go by real fast!
