Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate: Unlimited Power Achievement + Max Level Mystic Weapons Guide

This is pretty much my take on the easier Mystic Weapon grinding method created by MrEvilbyte on the Gauntlet DLC stage of Koshi Castle so all the credit goes to him for his Xu Shu method.
The only reason I made this video is just to add some commentary explaining certain critical things that will help make this fool proof each time you attempt this stage. Things I had to sorta figure out on my own after multiple attempts of getting to Orochi with enough time but never getting a weapon drops all due to an important step that makes him regenerate a bunch of times.

Yeah, it’s definitely a time savor compared to the default method but it still takes a lot of prep to get here.

@@TheZenNinja did you know that the DLC map in gauntlet mode there is another stage you can unlock the mystic weapons? It's the map where Ying long becomes orochi. Idk what I did, but I got my weapons I was hype I also find it easier than kochi castle. You fight hundun at the end.

@@unknown_to730 yeah, I believe all of the stages that were part of the dlc pack have a way of unlocking weapons. If it’s the same stage I’m thinking of you need to kill Tadakatsu and then Hundun in under 3 minutes. The time limit being the key factor for these missions. It’s seems like it’s super short but it’s easier than it sounds.

I think the only problem at the time was that not much was known about these dlc stages and a lot of the info came from a specific Japanese guide that we needed to have Google translate for us so sometimes details would be muddy because of various name changes of items and arena. Hopefully it’s easier now for players who have the new definitive edition to find more secrets and tips compared to when it first came out.

@@ndystory5363 Does your blacksmith in the hub not have it by default? He had a few that are just there and you don’t have to farm but then there are a few gold skills that you do have to farm and that’s when I used to play high star missions with lots of officers while having the skill that drops weapons when killing any officer. So farming 8 star missions and even increasing the difficulty past normal would give you better drops.

Did you buy the dlc map pack I mentioned? Even though this was the “Ultimate” edition of the game and it had some dlc from the 360/ps3 version, they still ended up making new dlc for it and that’s where this version of Koshi Castle comes from.

ouh it has limited time to kill orochi after kiyomori died...how many time is it?

So anything under 3 minutes and 30 seconds is your goal. Any time under that will make the box spawn. After Orochi’s glowing aura should drop about 5 seconds after Kiyomori speaks his second dialogue as long as you pause the game when he begins to speak. The Orochi fight shouldn’t be too long if you are spamming Ayane’s move like I am here so that’s about 10 seconds at most but if you are trying to fight him normally I think it’s a 45 second timer before he regains the aura but my theory is if you fail to beat the 3m and 30sec requirement, more reinforcements will come and that’s what makes him getsthe Aura again and now you won’t get the mystic weapons.

@@ryuzouchiki6363 Do your items get collected automatically or are you running to them to pick them up? So if you take too long to pick them up after orichi dies it can cause a lower level weapon because his death starts causing the miasma level to drop drastically and that will cause the weapon levels to drop. I can’t remember the exact item that makes your loot automatically collect when you’re in proximity.

@@ryuzouchiki6363 ok, try again and keep and eye on a few things. His health and the miasma count. If you’re holding the Ayane ultimate try not to over juggle him. I remember getting in the habit of letting go of B/Circle just a bit early. I kind of talk about that on an earlier boss in this vid how after I let go of the button it still juggles for a few seconds.

I just stumbled on this video and I was wondering how did you get the character's X-weapon to be +99? I found another comment asking the same, but I don't understand this whole blueprint thing for the weapon.

Hi there. So have you tried out the crafting forge / blacksmith? It’s been a long time since I played so the terms I use may be different than what they are called in game. So as far as weapon crafting went, you can create every characters weapon but they shouldn’t be available automatically. I believe a lot of this was tied to the gauntlet mode and possibly your friendship levels. When playing gauntlet mode you will receive tons of materials from chests/crates, enemy officers killed and quite possibly as a reward for clearing stages. When playing gauntlet mode I believe once you defeated someone and they join your team you will then be able to see that specific character’s weapons show up in the blacksmith. This is what I referred to as a blueprint/recipe. Now that you have the blueprint it will show you what materials you need to craft that weapon. Each character has a material that only they can drop so if you were trying to make Ayane’s weapon your best bet would be to replay a bunch of gauntlet missions where she shows up as an enemy. Each time you defeat her she will then drop an item that can be used to craft her weapons but the main item for the X weapon is not a guaranteed drop. Some say having a higher miasma count on the stage when you defeat your target will have a higher chance of dropping the special material but it’s probably all just RNG. Hopefully this helps out.

@@TheZenNinja Oh okay. So then will the weapon naturally rise to +99 as the character fights with it? I have crafted Ayane's weapon and now Kaguya's and I'm unsure about using them because they're starting at +0 for compatability bonus

@@csasweety I wish I could give you a definite answer but I believe the true weapons just keep leveling from 0 to 99 unlike other weapons that usually have a cap of only adding an extra 20 medals.

Alacrity is better than Bombast. Alacrity will refill your whole team's musou every 500 hits.

cyverse-eyes link dragon If you delete your gauntlet mode you will lose all the people you brought into your team after defeating them. I tried gauntlet early with only 1 maxed out character and it was bad so I stopped playing and went back to story. Later on I just resumed my gauntlet mode and had better results. Even if you feel like you did something stupid, don’t restart since gauntlet is all about replaying stages a billion times. gauntlet mode acts like a new game plus. When you beat all the tiers you can restart your stage progress and everything carries over while unlocking a new color path. Your goal is to complete that new color path and start over again to beat the 3rd color path. All together there are 5 paths so that means your stage progress will reset 4 times but you will always keep every character you unlocked to your squad and all the items along with all of the contracts you completed, formations you unlocked and duel cards you unlocked. Gauntlet mode is very hard with highly leveled characters so I wouldn’t recommend you starting gauntlet mode first. I say do the campaign a few times and try to level a lot of folks before resuming gauntlet.

cyverse-eyes link dragon so you already know about the stage specific methods for each characters right? cyverse-eyes link dragon yup that’s right. So now you officially cleared it once and when you select replay from beginning you will trigger the new game plus mode that adds the new color so you can start advancing the 5 tiers on the new path

Do you not take damage when you're in the musou mode for Ayane? Like, if you don't hold down B you basically still have musou activated, but you're not doing the pulse thing. Do you still take damage when you have musou activated without holding B?

AbnormalInfant Exactly. Pretty much everyone with a Samurai Warriors style Mosou is granted invincibility while the move is active. With the list of skills I mentioned earlier you will pretty much keep getting the max mosou perk after every few hundred hits, thats why you stop for a quick bit to pulse the enemies around the boss too.

Yes you can. Every time I did this I ended up with another one for Ayane since she was always the person I used while switching up the other members in the party.

When I kill all 5 captains (including Kiyomori Taira for the 2nd time) orochi stays invincible :/

Are you killing Kiyomori and then engaging Orochi right away? That's what would cause Orochi to stay invincible for me. That and sometimes being a little too slow. The main thing is to let Kiyomori finish talking... even though he is already dead, thats why I used the pause trick each time he starts talking. Pausing stopped the time but lets him finish his sentence.

The Zen Ninja Its weird cause he loses the blue glow but instead he glows green periodically and indefinitely reheals himself whenever he does. Don't all characters cap their speed at 220 making it irrelevant which character we choose or item we equip after higher levels?

Each character does reach a low speed cap but with 2 items I showed could help you reach 400 speed. It's all about choosing a character with a wide ranged move that hits hard. Some people like using characters with strong RB/R1 attack but younare still vulnerable to an enemy attack, thats why I lliked Ayane since all mosou attacks make you invincible and she lets you trigger the attack animation whenever you want her to instead of you being stuck in an animation like some of the others.

Omlás check out the section at the 1 minute mark 1:00 Bombast is the weapon skill that will essentially give you infinite musou since after each 500 hit combo you will get the imperial seal perk that gives you 10 seconds of unlimited musou.

MisakaSasha by playing this dlc stage and completing it in under 3 minutes, the way I showed it you will get 1 mystic weapon for each member of your team with a high bonus damage. It wontbstart at +99 but it will be high enough to where youncan level it to 99. If I remember correctly, anytime you get a weapon pick up, you can level it 20 times. So if you found a mystic that was +10, it will max out to +30. On this DLC stage they will drop at +81

Ahh sorry. So for all X weapons you need to craft them yourself in the hub and you need to grind Gauntlet mode for the 2 materials. Theres 2 steps. Step 1 is to play missions where your target appears so if you want Ayane's X weapon, replay stages with Ayane as an enemy. Every time you kill an enemy they will drop some items. They can be random items or it could be one of their 2 personal items. Step 2 is to unlock their blueprint, I believe you get the bkue print when you defeat a character and they join your team for gauntlet mode. Its been a while so if that doesn't unlock their blueprint, I think maxing out their friendship might be the way. So now when you go to create you weapon you will see it on the list, what materials you need and if you have them, you will make it at +99 every time.

Tobe Umerah It's one of the random drops from Gauntlet mode. Use the one trait that increases item boxes drop rate while you're grinding out Gauntlet Mode and you should get it in no time.
