I disagree. Kerr's frustrations with JK are appropriate. JK has not had solid defense and does not play to the system - ie when he is on the floor with Curry he should be rebounding, passing, cutting and being a rim threat. Instead he was fouling, taking 17foot jumpers and not rebounding aggressively. NOW he is doing it. Which shows growth on his part. And NOW he is being rewarded with minutes

Warriors received: Nikola Vucevic, Cam Johnson Nets Received: GPII, Kevon Looney, Moses Moody, and 2 First Round picks Bulls received: Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, Gui Santos, and 3 Second Round picks Warriors 9-man rotation: Starters: Curry, Wiggins, Kuminga, Cam, Vucevic Bench: Dennis, Podz, Dray, TJD The nets get their expiring contracts and 2 FRPs, and we get a bigger catch-and-shoot replacement for Buddy. The bulls get some solid role players and second-round picks, and we get the stretch 5. We move on from DNPs like Moody, GPII, and SlowMo You can move around the rotations, if you want defense you bring in Dray and Tjd for Cam and Vuc and vice versa. Kuminga gets some great spacing and becomes our true number 2/1, Dennis becomes infinitely more effective with spacing and a great pick and role partner like Vuc, and Cam, and Curry doesn't have to play too many minutes. We get bigger with Cam at the 4 and Kuminga at the 3.

Kerr will eff up Kuminga's play by taking him out of rotation again eventually. Kuminga could play consistently if he was played consistently. If Kerr had the same patience and gave the same playing time to Moody and Kuminga that he gave Podz they would be a helluva lot better especially since they have been there longer. It's sad that Kerr is over a 1/3 way into the season and he still can't figure out a rotation. I think that they should at least start handing the team to Kuminga and not wait for Curry to retire. Curry is on the down slide (I think it is cause he played in the Olympics) but he is still the most important player on the roster but offense don't need to go through him on every play.

@NBA_Z0 but his talent and potential hasn't been all that good in comparison. The more Kuminga and Moody play the better they have gotten. The opposite has happened with Podz. But basically Kerr should have given the same amount of patience and playing time to Kuminga and Moody as he did with Podz. Given all his playing time Podz has been far from consistent in playing well to be given that much more opportunity.

In videos of JK practicing free throw and 3's, he makes them consistently. However, in actual games, he is shooting a low percentage. Kerr needs to give JK more minutes so he can develop a rhythm and confidence in those two areas of his game.

The wear and tear of Dray's passing may have to do with the decline. Easy misses around the hoop for the whole time of losing also raises it's ugly head. JK had his best performance I've ever seen, if only he can play with the smarts and drives he had shown! Podz has been a major disappointment this year and maybe cut his time down until he gets his shit together, maybe he'll put his sophomore blues away as I expect he'll be a better performer. W's always have the chance for the playoffs, which shouldn't be in question now! I believe Moody should get more mins as his name is on the chopping block.

Looney's problem is just that he is not a threat at all, and GS is struggling to score. TJD can't shoot but he can score much better as a rim roller, lob threat, running the floor, etc. If Kuminga can consistently score 22-25 pts per game, they could be a top 5 team in the west. Big if at this point, but there are some good signs, but not a title contender. They just got old. It happens.
