I think the Warriors don't have enough to get Markkenan. Then would have to give up too much. So why not give IND a 1st for Turner/Jarace and a protected 1st with a 2nd. Get Ben Sheppard too if you do a 3 way trade with IND. Maybe you can swing him, or IND can keep Sheppard and send him to UTA to assist in getting Markkenan/Walker. As they could then give 3 1sts and a 1st from GS, keep one for themselves. Then maybe 2 or 3 2nds. Pacers would recieve Lauri Markkenan/Walker Kessler/Gary Payton II. If I was GSW, I'd be trying to swing a Kuminga for Cam Johnson and maybe Noah Clowney, or DaRon Sharpe. Could have did a 3 team with the Nets and Pacers. Maybe somehow either Nets, or Warriors could pick up Taylor Hendricks. Who I personally absolutely love as a prospect. I wanted him on my Pacers over Jarace. I think Jarace could become the perfect Draymond replacement though. In his own way, but he can handle and create a shot a bit too. His passing and vision is pretty on point. All he needs is to learn to set tough screens. When to set them and a player like Curry to run them with in the first place. He's not very aggressive, but he can attack a bit. But would rather use his floater/layup. Dunks if it's open, but could become a solid defender. Already is pretty dang good. He has a ways to go, even though his body is filled out. With years under his belt and Draymond. He could help him with being undersized and where to take advantage of other player's. Learn a lot from him and how to out rebound/hustle those guy's and where to look when kicking out reads. Particularly hitting Curry at the right time in his shooting pocket. Then having an anchor in Turner who can also shoot 3's. Would take a tremendous amount of stress off Draymond and help him truly hold down the C and PF positions. As Walker can help there also. If they were able to get Sheppard, he's a great scrappy player who loves to run to his spots and hits his 3's. Not a summer league player. A system player and would be perfect for GS as well. They need to strengthen themselves in all area's to become a real contender again.

You know the casuals when you see em. They think offense for offense in terms of trades or letting players walk. Getting klay and that salary off the books is a huge W for the warriors. His defense was abysmal last year. He even gave up on countless plays in very close games. The marginal utility they will get from their young guys and new additions will make up for klay, hands down. I think he had one of the worst +/- on the entire team. Lets see how that dallas core does on D with klay, luka, ky.

Warriors should trade Steph to San Antonio for 12+ first round picks (Brooklyn parlayed KD into 11 firsts, counting the Bridges trade), then trade Draymond to OKC. Ride out Wiggins’ contract unless we can get positive value for him. We’re clearly not in contention, and Lauri doesn’t make us a favorite. Better to understand that now rather than be forced to finally accept it later.
