Jake was a real one. He healed Tallstar’s heart In my opinion. I think that’s why he was such friends of thunderclan and accepted fire star. Very sad background during the the beginning of the book. I always respected Tallstar and love him even more as i get near to the end of this book.

@@AryaMiao-dv9ztliterally just read/listen to Tallstar and Jake’s dialogue. Tallstar was legit mooning over my main man Jake the whole time, from the moment he met him to his literal final breath. One of the last things he thought about was how much Firestar reminded him of Jake, and how much he missed him.

@@lays9945 that sounds about right. Scholastic doesn’t really allow gay characters in their books. The same goes for Barley and Ravenpaw, one of the Erin’s confirmed that they’re mates, and they’ve slightly alluded to it in the books, but they couldn’t outright say that.

Sighhh and so our mc returns to the cult-like environment that didn’t provide any real form of emotional support in his greatest time of need, and even better, allowed one of his peers to brutally antagonize him while grieving the loss of his father… Barely anything about the environment has changed. Idk why forming the first genuinely kind/supportive relationship he’s ever had, OUTSIDE of the cold/legalistic cat religion, is what convinces him that he belongs in the cold/unfeeling cat religion. Nevermind it’s a place where that supposedly important relationship can’t exist. Cat-heaven forbid, you make one friend outside your community, it might make you feel generally empathetic towards others who live differently from you. but hey, guess loyalty to a system that treats you like crap has always been the warrior way- UGH. Sorry these stinkin cat books get to me sometimes. smh. Hills hilly, big rock climby, grass zoomy, wind breezy, and smells smelly is why cat go back. Cat can’t enjoy feelings of nostalgia without engaging in cat religion and cat politics 😔
