You can spam C2 and juggle basically anyone who isn't a giant boss. Makes him one of my favorite characters to play as just because of that.

Volga's C5 is one of the most effective ways to safely take out The Imprisoned's toes. He's practically built as the ultimate Imprisoned-killer.

Makes me wish they added him (and several of the other Hyrule Warriors originals) into the main series, but as an ally. Loving the Dragonborn thing at the end too.

Stated by the Hyrule Warriors canon, Volga isn't necessarily evil, he was mind controlled by Cya, and found freedom once he was ultimately defeated by Link and his allies.

AI Volga's weakpoint gauge seems to disappear before a lot of characters can even begin attacking.

NPC Volga also has The shortest windows to attack his weak point out of any character in the game, you can tell he is the Devs favourite child.

If you use C3 and dodge-cancel at the end, it makes a great boss weakpoint drainer.

You can endlessly chain C2 together, with either inputting light, strong, light, strong, or by simultaneously and mindlessly smashing both buttons. It's insanely powerful and fast, shredding weak point gauges, and keeping enemies afloat almost perpetually. He also steps very far forward, making it surprisingly effective at area attacking. It's easily his highest dps move. The C4 is amazing at clearing rooms, you can rotate Volga for even more ludicrous range using both sticks, covering practically a 360 around him I wish your videos covered the duration of each hero's special attack, Volga's is one of the quickest, making it one of the best, imo. Faster animation makes you get back into combat quicker, some characters' specials feel like an eternity, and I avoid using them just because of how the length kills their overall damage output

Volga is absolutely insane. I think he is the third best character in the game, after Shiek and Link’s Master Sword. I’ve never given him Hasty Attacks, but I bet he becomes even more deadly and ridiculous. Why does he have so much range and an infinite? Like what?!

I have him with Hasty Attacks on the Wii U version. It's not that big of a game-changer for him because he's already to broken, but it does increase C2 spam and causes C5 to transform him faster.

Denzel Rozier Imo it still sounds like a game changer just because it gives him a higher DPS, which is objectively better.

@@JosepiThe13th True, but he's not in desperate need of it like Lana's Summoning Gate, which is very slow. Haste on Volga just makes an already OP character slightly more OP. It's still worth it though just to spam C2 across the battlefield.

Denzel Rozier It’s true. Some weapons like the Summoning Gate and Boots require Hasty in order to function at a reasonable speed. Volga is most definitely not one of them.

Volga was the first character with whom I unlocked and discovered Hasty Attacks. My reaction was whoa, what the heck is going on here?! Yeah, he's pretty ridiculous with it, and a lot of fun.

I know that Volga is a good character, but since I have so much trouble with getting his level 2 weapon to this day (and STILL HAVEN’T GOT IT YET) I just can’t find him that much fun to use

Volga is an odd character for me to play...he's insanely powerful yes. But at the same time, he kinda feels dull, besides maybe his C1 all of his attacks kinda lack a certain flare to them. Something I get a sense of with every other character...even when he turns into a dragon, all he does is pretty much crash into the ground and explode. That's kinda why I always find myself playing Linkle a lot more as my Fire character of choice. As part of the fun of a warriors game is the sheer insane spectacle you get to preform as you demolish your enemies.

Yeah I kinda feel the same with impa in age of calamity, yes she is powerful, but I still feel better fighting with any link weapon or Sidon

@@ihavenonameideas3698 how so? Impa in AoC is literally all about spectacularity, flashy explosions and fast movements. She’s like the opposite of Volga, which is very powerful but incredibly dull and shallow.

@@davion4777 i don’t know, the best way I can describe it is that unlike everyone else it feels like each time I press y she does like ten slashes with almost no feedback each one, unlike everyone else who do 1 attack with a lot of feedback, it feels strangely uncomfortable for me and is the only reason I don’t enjoy using her that much, I just prefer mipha or Sidon

I don't know why but I always am awful at fighting the ai Volgas. All of the other characters aren't too bad, but Volga moves so quickly and I feel like he has a really small punish window for weak points

Attack him a bit even after he blocks, he will then do a the C1 towards you, it has very short range and only hits in front of him, so moving just a little to the side will dodge it and his wpg will be exposed.

I wish Volga would of had a Giant Boss variant. He seemed so underused in the story.

Good to see some good fire element representation for once! Outside of him and MAAAAYBE Fire Rod Link, you only have Linkle... and Linkle.

I view Volga as the most OP character in the game. His C3 alone does so much damage to generals as at point blank range even if they are blocking it all 3 hits will either hit them, break their guard, or just do a ton of damage even if they are blocking (digging mitts skill). His C3 can also break every giant boss weakpoint with one reveal of their gauge. Simply expose the gauge, do the C3, and dodge cancel as soon as it hits. You can do this 4 times which is enough to open any boss to a finisher from one attack. Absolutely insane. His C5 may be slow but you are also completely invincible once you are up in the air with it.

Honestly, Volga as a playable character is brutal while enemy Volga is the most infuriating due to his weak point gage lasting only a second before leaving

In my opinion, Volga is the objectively best character. There’s no situation where any other character is a better option than him, if you ask me. Fighting a strong enemy? Spam C3. Surrounded by enemies? Use C4 once. Wanna look cool while killing everyone? C5. Got a giant boss down for the count? Spam C3 again

Does anyone know how to get rid of the visual glitch for Volga's C3? It seems like for lower tier weapons his arm does turn into the dragon claw but never does for rank 3 and up weapons

In crowds: C4 while rotating the left stick for maximum coverage Captains/Character bosses: Spam C2 for virtually infinite juggles Giant Bosses: ...Also spam C2 to devour weak point gauges, especially if you have other controllable characters nearby for bonus weak point damage

Volga's C3 is fast and powerful enough that I find it an effective boss killer. His C5 is also excellent for taking out the Imprisoned's toes.
