Warship Craft - Which Gun Is Better? (76mm VS 127mm)

The 127mm can fire at enemy fighters and torpedo bombers while they first appear on the horizon, while the 76mm’s shorter range means that when the aircraft are in range, the game thinks you are firing at the sea, not at aircraft. Thus, as I use this on Aegis ships, where missiles are the main striking weaponry.

The 76mm is a big AA-Gun for Frigates. The 127mm is for long distance above 100km for Destroyers. You can't compare these type of weapons!

127mm is much better. It has double the range of 76mm, and more penetration. Sure, 76mm destroys enemy ships faster (more DPS) and aircraft better, but it's useless against Iron Duke+, while with the 127mm, can destroy anything up to Montana.

Marine Submarine what’s up with the iron duke like why is it such a step up from the previous ship. In the Yamato’s case, it’s understandable but the iron duke is strong for what it is.

They need to do remodels of a lot of the larger caliber guns like the 380mm and the 406mm and maybe change the 460mm not the power but the look of it and add a proper 155mm Yamato secondary

Just use them both , it combines the long range capability of the 127mm and the quick firing of the 76mm

I mostly use 127mm as my main Naval gun when I build a Modern Day Destroyer, apart from using 76mm, I would just put Reconnaissance planes beneath the Hull so it would be hiding there, so I can have a better range during a Battle, I only use the 76mm when the enemies are near such as the Night Battle.

the 76mm is better for night battles because obviously close range, but then you have other better guns for that job, and the 127mm can make you win many battle without the enemy ship even get to the distance to shoot at you for example a lot of duel missions tho this video gives 76mm a chance to shine for once

Ah but the oto is useless versus armoured opponents falling far under the damage threshold making it basically useless for level 4+ because it deals no damage while the 127mm deals much more damage and can deal damage throu armour I am a veteran in this game
