Warthogs are predominantly herbivores will rarely eat meat. For the last 16 years I spent about 8 hours of almost everyday in the wilderness and this was my second sighting of warthog scavenging. They are of pig family and pig eat meat so this is not too surprising. Thank you, I hope to have helped.

The African guide said that a cheetah killed it. Pigs will eat anything including humans if you are available. The feral hog population in the US is incredible, with around 4 million in Texas alone.

They don't. In the video they say they think a cheetah killed the impala. The warthogs probably chased the cheetah away and stole the kill.

There's something majestic about warthogs, even though pigs in general are usually depicted as dumb, dirty, and clumsy. Nice to see the behavior of a group eating together. Amazing how many people don't know that they're omnivores like we are... :)
