In the first half of the 20th century, there wasn’t a single dominant tank layout that everybody used, like it happens nowadays with modern MBTs. It was a Wild West of experimentation and trial and error, with engineers coming up with all sorts of interesting and sometimes seemingly impractical ideas to adapt armored vehicles to different battlefield conditions. One of those ideas was to create a “landship”, a super-heavy combat vehicle capable of breaking through heavily fortified areas like the Maginot Line or the Siegfried Line.

Simply a case of superior South Korean technology. We were so advanced during and before WW2 that the exiled Korean government was able to make a time-machine and bring a fully operational K9 Thunder into the European theatre as war support for the allies. The only reason why you don't hear about this in the history books is because of the dirty Japanese who want to erase all evidence of Korean superiority in engineering and simply being better.

One Vehicle I Personally would love to see would be the Panzer VII Lowe (Lion) With it being similar to the Tiger 2 105 except it was actually a completed prototype. Would be cool to have at like 7.7 or something as it's a very unique vehicle.

Ya except they aren't lmao the Shar 2C, TOG2, and Maus have been removed from the tech trees so new players will never get to use them while old player get to keep them if they had them, the E-100, Object 279, and IS-7 can only be gotten by spending a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars on the market place with the T95, and tortoise being the only ones you can earn just by playing the game and even then its going to be hundreds of hours of grinding. Maybe because they are actually using it. Despite that would likely not have been the turret it would have used. War Thunder do not have many paper designs. But that one we need to count to that. (It is also extremely rare in War Thunder)

To clarify; The IS-7 was not produced in significant numbers due to it being simply too costly. Weight was not a problem with this tank as it was originally designed with it in mind- Reinforced tracks, suspension and one of the most powerful diesel engines ever fitted in an armoured vehicle. Why discard such an amazing war machine? Well the soviets found out you could produce something around 2-5 T-54 medium tanks for one such behemoth.

don't forget about the outstanding T-10M, which was seen in the Yom Kippur war which some prob knocked out some M48s its a great and perfectly balanced Heavy tank similar to the IS-4M and IS-7 and another fun fact is that during the soviet era of stalin it was originally named IS-8 but due to politics its official name is the T-10M

Custom sights requires you to edit the game files so i dont think it will come to console

Yeah, it's not just about connecting your account. You have to download the files open the game generate the folder with an in-game menu then go into the game files and place your sights there and then refresh it. Alternatively if you already have sights in folders with the correct names you can just place them in the game files. Either way, that's not likely to be something you can do very easily on console.

Though, it was disassembled and the project cancelled, because it was deemed too impractical for use in the war and had some problems, like the engine being too unreliable. As mentioned in the other reply, one track link of the O-I still exists. It's located in the JGSDF Fuji School.

@@winstonchurchill1300 is 3 used the same t-34 and later t-54 engine. The problem is usually over represented. Is7 never entered service and taking about reliability of prototypes is of no point. Is-3 was much more reliable than the 750hp is 4.

(It was fokin stolen by some officer and gave the design for Adler to build as part of the E-Series. So, E100 is somewhat of a continuation of Krupp's Tiger Maus whilst being a whole different tank development.) Yes, there's a Tiger Maus and its not as well known as its Porche Maus cousin. No, E100 isn't a competitor to Porche's Maus, that title Belongs to Krupp's Tiger Maus, and no, the E100 in War Thunder isn't accurate. The most accurate is World of Tanks's E100, cause the Maus Turm was obsolete by '44 and was more likely going to use a Maus 2 turm (Yes there was a planned second version of porche maus). My fokin source? Tank Encyclopedia and Cone of Arc. Basically War Thunder's E100 is more like a close accurate depiction of what Krupp's Tiger Maus Would've looked like had it been built instead of porche's rather than a close depiction of E100. I dont fokin know why they chose a maus turm, prolly cause they don't wanna be affiliated with world of tanks or maybe another victim of common misconception.

Super heavy tanks are cool, but definitely not my favorite kind of tanks. Both heavy and superheavy tanks were a pretty silly idea in real life. In war thunder, I don't really enjoy playing any heavies besides the Tiger II, and even then I'd rather be playing the Centurion
