Fun Fact! The APS of the Brennus doesnt work and is like this for a while!! i've been playing in it for quite a while, doing testings with my friends with ALL kind of ATGMs and in different distances, even aiming directly at the APS it self, doesnt work and yes, it was active the whole time

That question about aircraft performance being impacted was NOT about the ordnance itself, but the leftover pylons and, in case of some rockets, pods. -.- That ordnance affects flight performance has been clear for a long time now, but regarding pylons etc., the last answer to that was years ago by Lassar, who stated that they do not affect flight performance once the attached ordnance has been dropped.

"how to destroy the Brenus?" you don't have to, you hardly ever come across one on the battelfiled, and even if you do, the tank has no armor, and you most likely have a stabilizer, which the Brenus doesn't have (it should, but hey... who cares about french tanks? Not Gaijin) Also, no one uses HEAT-FS at 8.3, pretty much all tanks there have access to APFSDS... which as you saw make quick work of it anyway. APS is useless in battle. I have the feeling that I'm beating a dead horse here, but : MBTs without stabilizer should NOT be at a BR higher than 7.7. And even then, they suffer quite a lot since they get a lot of uptiers, and a stabilizer may be the strongest asset that a tank can have (just look at the "effectiveness" of the Jumbo 76 compared to the Tiger II P). It is widely know that Gaijin has very littel care for historical accuracy when it comes to modern stuff. They're very picky about WW2, I can't say the same for Cold war / current vehicles. So, if a tank has to powerful of a round to be at 7.7 or lower, just give it a stabilizer and call it a day. Gaijin gave the AMX 32 a stabilizer and a BR of 9.3. This tank has the EXACT SAME fire control system as both the AMX 32 B2 and B2 BRENUS (that by the way, isn't a stabilizer). You either remove it from the AMX 32 and make the french tree even less appealing that it already is ( interest for new players = zero. interest for experienced players = only for the challenge of fighting with subpar vehicles up until 11.0), or you give a stab to both of the Tier VI AMX 30s and FINALLY put an end to the suffering of those vehicles that have been going on since they were introduced in the game... years ago. This has been a status quo for too long

I agree. APS isn't working even on missiles it should be dealing with. Lack of stabilizer makes it unplayable. You're confined into sniping and flanking (with experience), CQC isn't an option unless you're lucky. The 20mm is your saving grace. Only experienced AMX30 users can do well, and only experienced AMX30 users use them anyway. Not to mention the gap between Brenus and 32 that makes it impossible to have a 9.0-11.0 lineup without underBR or overBR.

For example, you have one aircraft baiting a radar site, and a second aircraft launches a missile that homes in on the radar transmissions of the radar and disables it. The counterplay would be something like turning your spaa's radar off if you notice a missile coming towards you, or keeping it off most of the time and only turning the radar on for short sweeps.

Question: could you please answer the first question given in this video? Most people know that expending ordinance reduces weight and drag, but - once expended, do the EMPTY rocket pods and EMPTY bomb racks still reduce the performance as compared to a clean config? I believe they do, but without knowing the programming or extensive testing the difference maybe small enough to be within the margin of error of any testing I can do, so I may be kidding myself.

this is going to be a bit of a confusing question but can you explain weapon selection? i just died in my type 90 because i was unable to fire my main gun since the machinegun was selected, i was spamming reset weapon selection and select primary armament both in and out of gunner view but nothing happened. i went to test drive and neither button worked, the only way i could actually get it to reset was by selecting secondary for some reason. I spawned in a chi-ri, since it has a selectable secondary weapon and the select secondary armament worked as usual, however the reset weapon selection or select primary didn't work either, it however reset the selection when i tried selecting machinegun? i'm extremely confused

Can you please fix the silver lions gain for Sim Mode Air Battles? I have a HOTAS setup for my pc so that’s the only mode I want to play on War Thunder. I’ve really lost all will to play at all anymore because I get so tired of playing in one plane for an hour straight just to hardly gain anything if not barely break even, and that’s if the match is going good, I’m doing lots of objectives, I don’t get shot down a lot, etc. The kinda matches where it’s not going good are the ones I lose more lions than I gain & it’s usually quite a bit. It happens in pretty much every single match I play anymore. I love the game so much but I can’t keep going because if I do I’ll just end up getting my silver lions zeroed out just by playing Sim Mode Air Battles.

The learning curve is brutal, so be patient with yourself. Every country has slightly different playstyles. Watch the "climbing the ranks" videos to get a rundown of everyone's vehicles. Don't feel bad about trying other nations. It's best to have a Main that you commit to, but other nations can be a breath of fresh air. I like playing the Churchill at 4.7 after a run of top tier french suffering. Play in Arcade to get a feel for the game, then try Realistic. The vehicle before the one you're researching gets a bonus to research points. Be sure to use that one in battle. Don't buy a high-tier premium yet. Every vehicle in your lineup should have roughly the same BR, within 1-ish of each other.
