Similar in that a kind German officer is quartered with a young French woman and her elderly grandfather. I had never heard of it until I came across someone else's recommendation for it on a KZbin comment and I'm so happy thatI did. One of these days, I'm going to order the DVD and soundtrack. Happy watching!!!

JEON CENA I agree. My grandmother’s family was originally from Germany and her cousin fought in WW2, and he wasn’t evil. In fact most people in Germany didn’t have much of a choice but to fight.
