I got the 5-string version of this instrument, and almost sent it back to the dealer, because the output jack only delivered the signal of the neck pickup, no matter what the position of the blend controller was. However, I wasn't aware of the fact that the instrument has two output jacks. One of them is also a pin for the belt (so it is a bit "hidden"), and this one has the blended signal from both pickups.

Oh my god thanks, you just saved me from sending my bass back for repair for the exact same reason! Had already been in contact with customer support...this is indeed very confusingly constructed

I wanted to look for a full-bodied Alien . . . but the way you are playing this thinline is beautiful. Are you using any central unit for your effects?

Je me demande si c'est pas plus agréable a joue et au son en fretless après j'ai quelque preamp acoustic de chez radial et tech 21 qui peuvent sculpter le son en rondeur et enlever un peu de brillant, avec de la guitare folk , banjo et de la mandoline ca doit avoir ca place, mais j'utiliserai ca surrement pour joué des plan sans avoir besoin de le brancher a chaque fois...

Hello Bruno, thank you for your demo. This is great. It convinced me to buy an Alien Thinline. But I am not happy as I have extreme fretboard noise with the nanomag pickup. Do you know how to avoid this? I still have the factory strings. Do you think flat-or halfwound strings would be better. Which kind of strings do you use in this video?

The microphone AT4050 by Audio Technica is not a special bass microphone, is it?

Use flats. Sounds better.
