@@JokerGamingcod Aim Assist Type: DEFAULT That's it. Nothing else in the video is to do with "settings". The "thresholds" mentioned are simply the minimum amounts you need to move your sticks away from center.

Just a tip for all the frustrated M&K player out there: Learn to use the Riot Shield paired with restock, stuns and high alert. You will love it! I did this when I realized how broken AA is in this game. Let them track the shield as much as they want. A bad player will empty their mag into the shield so just wait for the reload. A good player will put up a fight so utilize the stuns. Just restock the stuns and always have some in your backpack. As main gun I would recommend STB 556 (SMG like sprint to fire speed with AR damage range and low recoil, M4 works well too). The tricky bit is the slow weapon swap because you don’t have fast hands…. Enjoy!

This video isn't just for MnKB players to be upset about. If you are a good controller player you should be shocked by this too! Having such AA decreases the skill gap significantly. A player with worse aim might win a gunfight of a good controller player, not because of his aiming abilities, but because AA makes it so much easier to hit all your shots. So the better controller player isn't rewarded for his better aiming skills. We've been complaining about the skill gap in WZ2 since launch and this is part of the problem. With TTK this fast and AA this strong you get absolutely deleted up close without a chance to react.

This gross levels of aim assist is why my casual friends quit (controller). They don't have time to figure it out, and naturally try to aim when they play. Then think everyone is hacking or using chronus.... A rotational AA nerf would really help casuals, as they are constantly fighting the rotational and at a loss for words at how they get beamed. TTK doesn't help, nor audio and movement.... But this is big and rarely discussed.

Nope, it's even worse than that because as we see with the lagging opponent situation, the aim assist is colluding with the server.. So in reality it is reacting to something that hasn't even come across to your game client yet, so even if you were a robot with 0ms response time, aim assist would still react faster, practically it is a negative time reaction speed.

Simple juking techniques that have existed for years in FPS games (such as strafing left and right while ADS firing, bunny hopping, etc.) are often outright negated by aim assist. Tracking someone performing a very basic left right strafe on MnK is deceptively hard and even when you're adept at it you'll sometimes be a step behind the whole way. I'll just reiterate again: anyone defending the strength of this is doing so in bad faith because they abuse it. It's like when kids play a top 3 character in a fighting game but downplay its strength while complaining about the other 2 characters.

A reduction in aim assist could make a huge difference in skill gap. Unfortunately I don't think the DEVs want to do that so there game stays casual vs more competitive. Changes like this could bring back tournaments for pro players but a lot needs to be done.

It’s also important to keep in mind that aim assist counteracts weapon sway when trying to track a target. This randomness in weapon sway is literally impossible to predict on m&k leading to missed shots. Aim assist completely negates a literal game mechanic. I’ve noticed stacking aim stability attachment helps substantially. However playing on controller makes this meaningless.

My main takeaway from this video as a controller player is that I often over-aim. I focused on some of the mechanics of the video and did less right stick adjusting mid-fight, and I saw a noticeable increase in "stickiness." AA needs to be reduced on controller. Comparing to apex recoil, COD is way too simple

I will scan high ground areas with my rifle by dragging my sights along the top of where heads will be. Even in very long range areas you will get a slowdown when passing over a player that you may not even be able to see giving you a free enemy location and a heads up

And one last thing I have also gotten strong rotational aim assistant when targets start moving in the firing range when testing guns n attachments....so much so that I'll be rotating with the first target as it starts to move and the second target starts to move and AA is strong enough it'll pull your aim off the first moving target onto the second with a very strong grab and turn

This is why I try to avoid close range fights as M+K player as much as possible, chances are if the player changes their strafe direction I might miss 1-2 shots as I readjust to the target, but if the controller player is even knowledable about having to move their stickers correctly to "stick" to the target then they will never miss and due to the fast TTK needing only a few shots I will lose everytime.

No matter how strong aim assist becomes, controller players will always find a way to say it's fair. Many factors involved provide the same pathway to this way of thinking & that's why it's so prevalent in controller players. Ego plays a big factor in this. We all know CoD feeds off ego so admitting you're wrong would be difficult here, hence the "many factors involved". If you truly want to see where your skill level is at, turn aim assist off or plug in a MnK & practice minimizing missed bullets.

Agreed a lot of controller players be it casual, competitive, streamers & pros egos wont let them admit they aren't nearly as good at the game as they perceive themselves to be. Turn of that aim assist on controller then they'll see where their real skill level is at on controller. Thank you for this video. I know about Amos cyst but didn’t understand the bubble effect and now I want to go back after work and see what my settings are. Does anyone know if this would negatively affect your aiming because I think I’m overcompensating thinking it’s recoil in some cases and missing my shots. Yes kbm have there whole arm too aim but you burgers need too understand missing a bullet or two or three results a loss in a close range fight , your aim assist helps you with those 2 or 3 bullets and you think your good 😅

I think a lot of people are missing the point. Its not just a mouse vs controller debate, its the fact that it is too strong in general. Even in controller only lobbies, like in the CDL, it should be weaker. At the top level there isn't a noticeable skill gap in aim, everyone has the same aim assist aim, which is pretty absurd for a shooting game.

nah im like 2.5kd and on verdansk was top 0.5% in wins, but even now I cannot even slightly compete against aim assist, it's become so strong it's almost impossible because as you can see 80-90% of the work is done and even with my aim being pretty spot on, it's hard asf up close to react that fast (aim assist even rotates you if they run past) and on top of that just maintaining on the target, if you miss 1-2 bullets that's it game over. I switched to controller for a few weeks and it was a joke how strong aim assist is close range, I was literally laughing out loud. but in the end I personally prefer mouse n keyboard cause I've got like 5 years+ practice in, I even out damage myself and so does my brother when playing on controller cause the aim is so strong and all the kills are close range, with aim assist you feel like a god running to close range fights. It needs a nerf, but never will.

"My aim assist doesn't do that." Aim assist by its very function scales with skill. The better you are at the game, the more effectively you can abuse it. I'm an MnK player that picked up a core 2 and spent a week learning it to see what the deal was. My immediate reaction was that I had massively over hyped how strong AA was in my head. Then by day 2 and 3 when I realized what it was doing my takeaway was that AA is every bit as strong as it appeared from the outside looking in. I would never advocate for the outright removal of AA, but the buffs going into MW2 were completely unnecessary and make players of *most* skill levels (excluding those who are exceptional) indistinguishable from one another. I know people are exhausted with hearing everyone beating the "they've closed the skill gap!!!" drum, but it's the truth. Anyone defending some of what's shown with RAA in this video has an agenda. You cannot objectively defend these examples.

I have been reporting people for aim bot who do an instant 180 directly on target. Seems it's a feature of the game. Any examples of aim assist on hidden targets in bushes or water.

I really hope this doesn't become an industry standard. As a mnk player, hitting mantling players has always been quite difficult as the speed of the animations aren't consistend with the movement speed of the operatior prior to mantling. Sad to see that AA helps with that too.
