Sundowns like to buys South African star players who are coming back from Europe like Zungu ,Ngconga ,Jali and others in the past.Sundowns can match overseas salaries.We all know what happened to the career of such players when you compared them to "Shoes" Moshoe,Ndlanya ,Zuma,Nomvethe who also return but to other teams .Now it is worse because Sundowns is coached by a comparatively young coach who have never played professional football . Unfortunately even their assistant coach lack lack dress room experience but at least is mature.Now he is expected to coach players who are coming back from Europe.A player like Zungu was a regular Bafana,regular at Sundowns and won league before Rhulani era.To managed such players need special management skill for them to deliver.Sundowns have a unique style of playing .Even most of their foreign imports are flop off late.Foreign imports were performing better during Pitso and Manqoba era. Only one or two South Americans are performing well but I am not sure whether there is no South African who can outperform them. Even African imports are now struggling to fit in this fancy Downs style. The style is delivering results for now ,it is nice to watch,it will be tested at world stage.Buying experience players with European experience,Bafana caps just to bench them is a Sundowns phenomenon .It is not good for football.It never happened anywhere in the world.All national teams start with European based players in their teams and they perform. At the moment Sundowns is developing their new unique brand of football therefore players who do not fit must released as soon as possible.Broos is using young players even from small teams like Polokwane because experience players are not playing. I think most of the players in Downs benched are supposed to be playing somewhere in Europe now because most are as good or better than Ngezana ex Chiefs but it is their choice.It is very comfortable at Downs. I do not blame them.
