@@Morerob I feel where you coming from...I have heard that reasoning before. I feel different though. I think a true Christian would do just what the Christians did for hundreds of years. When i look at the slave states of America and compare them to the bible belt in America, I see that slavery was legal where the bible was most prominent. When I read the old testament and compare it to how the Christian slave masters did African people, i see a lot of similarities. I actually think if Black Folk keep leaving the church, high levels of oppression towards Black Folk might be an option to get us back in the church. White Folks have more success and ease with Black Christians than Black nonBelievers in my opinion

The European colonization of Africa is noted to have paved the way of Christian missionaries into Africa. In some cases, the leaders of traditional African religions were persecuted by the missionaries and regarded as the "devil's agents". Ali Mazrui has discussed similar issues in the book The African Condition.

When God said “when they come speaking another Gospel and another Christ then you know the time is near”. He was talking the people that got off the ships which were the Israelites of the Bible in the Ghettos scattered around the world. So the Anti Christ has been here since we got off those Ships.

Fortunately the evil, godless enslavers could not prevent the Salvation of those Slaves God had planned to save and did save. This is where direct Election and Predestination by the Creator of the Slaves, defeated any attempt by slaveowners to deny them Everlasting life through Faith by Grace, in Christ. Also the 'god' of the racist slaveowners, had to be different from the God served by those slaves who were Christians.

I have an issue with how you apply knowledge and facts. She stated christianity was not imposed on african american slaves, but she uses a petition by a slave in St Thomas. St . Thomas and U.S. are 2 different territories. It has been documented that in Brazil , if a slave converted to christianity, they received more freedoms. So when you say christianity was not imposed on the african slaves, that statement is to broad. Its not a imposition if you are already a christian. It is a imposition if you are not a christian, and you are being told you will get treated better if you convert. This needs to be studied region by region. You cant take what they did in one country or region and then apply it to what took place in the U.S.

Christianity as a management tool in slavery came later. The enslavers initially did not want the slave to know any thing about the bible. The bible and literacy among whites was still in its infancy. Until the enslaver was taught how to controll the slave thought selective verses and also by not allowing the slave to read. But this was time limited, and slaves learned how to read where some had very good memories and knew more about the bible than the enslaver. Then some knew scripture from Africa. The mis conception that whites introduced god to the African is a myth.

A Kongolese King, Nzinga Mbema who was also a Christian helped the Portuguese with the slave trade and he also kept slaves for himself. He also wrote several letters to those kings concerning the slave trade saying it was bad for his economy. Not all slaves were Israelites (point blank) it may have been some but not many. Plus too much written documentation that shows that many of the Africans were Christians more so than Israelites.

Before the flood the world was black. Jessie asked his father (Enoch ) if Noah was his child ( Albino) every one else were the norm . Noah fathered japhet whom took after Noah I would say. Shem was brown and Ham was of the darker race who sold us to Japhet in the later times. The Falush mura were known as the roaming tribe after they met the white race Christianity was force upon them and they never left Africa. But they maintain they were of the 12 tribes. Israel had a one refuse to allowing to move israel stating they weren't practicing judiasim. But gave in because they were who they said they were. and more resent they were put out . They were complaining israel was starting to look like Africa. They made there on point. Do they not realize they are Africa. And the reason they are not comfortable there is because there home is over around the caucas mountains where all the whites live . If they go home they will be more comfortable for they will see a lot of who look like the.

From Babylon to Timbuktu by. Rudolph R. Windsor. Pg.115 It was A.D. 1492 (January 2nd), when the Moorish stronghold of Granada surrendered to the armies of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. For the first time since the year 711 A.D. all of Spain was in Christian hands. The decree to expel the Jews from Spain was signed on March 31, in one of the corridors of the great Alhambra, the palace of the Moorish kings of Granada. The reason given for the expulsion of the Jews was that it was thought they corrupted the Marranos (Jews converted to Christianity) by privately encouraging them in disloyalty to Christianity. The ultimatum given to the Jews expired August I, 1492. But the last group of Jews did not leave until August 2, 1492. This date is of strange coincidence. That day was the 9th of Ab, the fast day which is reminiscent of the destruction of the First and Second Temples. Professor Allen H. Godbey says that the reign of the last Jewish king of Ghana terminated in 1492. In order to satisfy Queen Isabella of Spain, King Manocl of Portugal promulgated a royal decree expelling the Jews and Moors from his country in 1496. The Jews who were expelled from Spain and Portugal were scattered throughout the Mediterranean coasts. It is estimated that over 100,000 Jews departed from Spain and Portugal during the persecutions and the expulsion. Some of these Jews went to northern Europe, Italy, and Turkey; but most of them went to Moslem countries of northern and western Africa." These black Jews would naturally go to African countries most of all. because of less persecution and they could disguise themselves easily among blacks.

From Babylon to Timbuktu by. Rudolph R. Windsor. Pg.86 King Reccared ascended the throne in 589; this was the beginning of harsh religious enactments against the Jews. When King Sisebut (or Sisibot) occupied the throne, there was a prevalance of the utmost religious fanaticism. In 616 A.D. the big shock came; the king ordered the baptism of all the Jews in his domain, under the penalty of expulsion and the loss of all their property. According to Catholic authorities, ninety thousand embraced Christianity at this time. This was forced baptism. In the seventh century the Jews were threatened with the penalty of slavery if they were found practicing Judaism. This cruel policy caused many Jews to flee to the Mediterranean and western coast of Africa. The southernmost point of Spain after you cross the sea leads you to the northern or the western coast of Africa. Throughout the Middle Ages many European governments expelled their Jews; these black Jews migrated to neighboring countries, Turkey and Africa. The Byzantine emperors, in the fifth and sixth centuries, persecuted the Jews constantly; therefore, multitudes of Jews were compelled to migrate into the Sahara Desert to the south. By this time the Sahara Desert was heavily occupied with black Jews.

No disrespect, but why are we asking a European what African religions were like instead of asking an African historian? I doubt that she would know that there were many Hebrews taken as slaves. Too many people mistake ancestral worship as traditional religion. The Akans traditionally worshipped the one True God, however it is also true that they mixed that with idolatry. So we have to be careful with the term Traditional African Religion. In fact many Akans say that they can trace their heritage back to Israel, even those that I know personally. It should not be a surprise to see Hebrews in Africa practicing Vodu or other forms of idolatry as it was common for the Israelites old to adopt the practices of their neighbours.

Nothing to do with Ancient Israelites. However, I've seen enough evidence showing Akan connection to ancient Hebrews, and I have discussed this with Asante and Fante Elders. It is even evident in the Akan language. For example היה is Ɛyɛ and has the same meaning. To come in Hebrew is Ba, and we know that it is also Akan.
